Hallowed ground
Oct 2016 • Couples
While there isn't much to see, the Christiantown area has the aura of hallowed ground. It just feels different when you get back into the woods by the burial ground and the chapel. There's a quiet peaceful feeling there. Read about the history first or you'll have no idea what to look for or where to look.

Small preserve, some historical features
Dec 2014 • Couples
This Martha’s Vineyard Land Bank Commission property has a short loop trail. It is forested, so you can give your largest organ a rest from sun-worshipping. The loop walk features an intriguing old root cellar. Apparently the small building on Wampanoag Tribe property near the road was a chapel for Native American Christians, but the chapel is closed to the public and not of great architectural interest. The loop will take approximately 15 minutes. I'm giving this only three stars since while interesting, the size of this preserve limits its attractiveness.
