Went for the holiday fair and had no idea this quaint little museum existed. They did a fantastic job with social distancing and keeping everyone safe. Very nice choices of gifts with all the vendors. Had fun looking around at the regular exhibits and merchandise. Nice place to take the kids, especially if they're into trains. Nice merchandise selection in the museum and we loved the "donate a book" idea. You can buy a wrapped book to donate to a child in need.

This museum is very professional and up to date. The equestrian exhibit rivals exhibits from the Smithsonian. It is great place for kids. The historic house is kids friendly with plenty of things to touch and to play make believe. The Very Hungry Caterpillar exhibit is a blast for younger kids and the train room is captivating for kids and adults. Parking is easy and free.

In under a month, we will be renewing our family membership to the Wenham Museum! Great value for a place to get away with the kids, and now an even better experience!

For my 2-year old--TRAINS! He loves the family atmosphere and I love that he can now play with trains while dressed like a princess (I'll upload a photo if possible), providing him the well-rounded experiences he enjoys!

For my 4-year old--Trains, princess dresses and doll house, and a FANTASTIC new exhibit featuring simple machines. We had recently build a "gravity machine" in our living room, and I was excited to see a "pulley zipline" as part of a new exhibit thanks to a grant from Cell Signaling.

For the adults--now, the upstairs exhibit room is more open and you can keep an eye on kids much easier.

Now, back to the membership...totally worth it! I went for just 30 minutes the other day and would NOT have been comfortable doing so if we didn't have the membership. We bought the "up to 8" membership and love it...we can bring friends or the grandparents when they are in town for no extra cost!

This is a good museum if you are an at-home parent or caregiver looking to get out of the house for an hour with your toddler or preschooler that is under 5 years old. Kids any older will get bored quickly. Other than looking at the impressive train sets downstairs and browsing the gift shop, there really isn't much to do. It's impossible to spend more than an hour here.

We used this museum as a pit stop on the way to Boston to give our kids some time to move around. It is quaint and play-based. Very much a throw-back in a good way. Staff was friendly and they had a great gift shop.

I enjoy this museum. It is great if you are interested in local or colonial history. The doll and toy exhibit is interesting for adults and children alike. The overall atmosphere is quaint and charming.

The Wenham museum is a small local museum with an extensive collection of antique dolls and various gauge train displays. There are also lots of hands-on activities for the pre-school set. A fun place for kids and grandparents without being overwhelming.

A pleasant stop for an hour long visit. The ground level has a gift shop and a nice collection of antique dolls from different countries. The lower level is a wonderland of model train exhibits that are exceedingly well done and a joy to browse through and find all the unique oddities. There are steps for toddlers to stand on and chairs for grandparents to get comfortable while the kids roam around.

The Wenham Museum is wonderful if you have small children. The first floor has rotating displays, a permanent (and extensive) doll collection of dolls through the ages and from around the world, a collection of doll houses, and a model train. The lower floor has a small discovery/play area for small children and a room full of model train exhibits. The museum also has a charming gift shop full of great items for kids and a historic house attached to the property where they give tours to both adults and children. Young children could at least spend an hour here, and if you're local, they'll beg to come back.

This museum is terrific if you have a child who loves trains. My 2 year old is obsessed with trains. The downstairs room has several model train layouts as well as one that runs along the ceiling! There are tons of little details that are fun to point out. My son was mesmerized. Upstairs they have a doll display, which he was not as interested in, and another train layout. Overall, this is a perfect outing for a family with kids.
