Did this loop on Saturday in the glorious 60+ degree weather, with friends and their leashed dog. Parking is tough to find, probably not legal on the college campus, although with school out of session we found a lot where the gates were open and there were other cars parked. Loop is easy to follow, although there were long stretches of VERY muddy ground that could not be skipped, so don't wear your good walking shoes if there has been rain or melting going on! It was quite windy, so the ice that was left on the lake was bumping into the shore and each other with an amazing sound.

We were tired of being indoors at our daughter's house so we went to the Campus of Wellesley College and discovered this beautiful Lake (Waban) There is a path that goes around it - perhaps a half hour to 45 minute walk depencding on your pace. Peaceful and very scenic.

Big bad bass out there for catch and release. Beautiful day and wonderful scenery. And a nice and not so windy day.

This is a wonderful falk about Lake Waban. It starts near the boathouse on the northwest side of the campus and follows the shore of Lake Waban counter-clockwise. You do leave the campus for a short while, so do respect the property-owners who permit completing the circle on their land. There's a subtle environmental sculpture by Michael Singer adjacent to the trail about a half-way around the trail; worth exploring.

Lake Waban, partially owned by Wellesley college, is a joy year round. Less than a two mile run or leaisurely walk, it never fails to offer breathtaking sights, both on land and in the rippling waters. Perfect haven for photographes, runners of all ages, dog owners [leash required most of the time],and romantic couples. Glorious in Spring, Fall, and even winter, despite snow and ice. Too hot for my taste in summer, though there are many shady areas.
