These greenhouses are a step back in time to the better aspects of the Victorian age. They are a wonderful field trip for adults and children -- whether you have botanical interests or not.

The College greenhouses are a perennial favorite among young and old alike. Very broad range of plants, trees, fruits, herbs and flowers. The college is currently rebuilding the greenhouses, so check before you go.

A lovely horticultural adventure hidden on the wonderful Wellesley College campus, open to the public and I believe it is free. You will not feel overwhelmed but excited by their collection and welcoming staff.

Walking through the campus and the greenhouses, it's a peaceful place with ponds (complete with a heron!), forested walkways, and plenty of flowers in the greenhouses to enjoy. Beautiful place to enjoy the afternoon.

I found this very interesting. I am not much of a plant person but it was beautiful and I learned a lot about plants too!
