Take a walk along restored sections of the Blackstone River Canal and Towpath - we've been here many times, it's a beautiful spot and offers many options for biking, hiking, and fishing. You can also go Kayaking or canoeing on the canal. Visitors can walk or bike ride along the 2 mile canal, there is a flat gravel road that... More

Place is a great Escape to take a stroll through nature. Been here in the 90's and now 2016. A very senior trail along the canal and plenty of wildlife to see.

Very nice trails near the river to walk with a pet or alone. The path is flat but you need to be careful about the roots of trees. Fun to see the turtles sunning themselves on logs and on the side of the river. Lots of history of the canal and valley at the main building nearby.

I live in the area and frequent the trails often. If you start at the Stanley Woolen mill, the path is flat and level all the way to Hartford Ave. On the other side of the road, the trail is a little more like hiking. Either way it is a beautiful walk or hike.

So i happen to be driving in the area just out cruising around and I came across the West Hill Dam. After walking with the dog around these trails which were nice , i picked up some pamphlets and learned of the canal and the parks adjacent to the canal..These were really nice, well groomed scenic trails with no shortage... Our family had an amazing walk along the canal. We have a large dog who enjoyed all of the smelly-smells and other dogs. We also have a two year old who has the attention span of a goldfish. The trail was perfect as on one side you have the water, and the other is a drop off to a swamp.... More

The 1st time we came here my kids saw more turtles than they could count, turtle eggs buried along the trail edges, frogs & the biggest snake I have ever seen that was not at the zoo. Big open fields & the flowing river with perfect skipping stones all make for a great nature hike or peaceful stroll.

My wife and I and our dog visited Blackstone River mid June. The park is very well maintained. The picnic areas were very neat and clean and the major grassy areas were all freshly cut. The picnic tables were in very good condition and the one we used was clean and graffiti free. Picnic tables are located at all parking... More

Walking trail along the canal. Birdwatching, water fowl and other walking tours. Inside is a large cattle barn all refurbished. It was River Bend Farm which my father used to have a house to house milk delivery job there. Maple sugaring in the spring.
