While visiting my aunt she arranged for us to take the kids & visit since the Green since it's decorated for the holidays. All I can say is wow! Very lovely & well decorated. The kids enjoyed seeing the lights & it made for a nice night time walk. Brought back memories of when I was a kid & my aunt would take us walking here. My only complaint is there isn't something like this close to where I live. But if my memory serves me correctly, the Green gets better every year!

One of the few remaining community gathering spots in left in the state, The Taunton Green was donated in 1743 to the town and used as a militia training ground (bot thats a WW1 doughboy soldier statue not a minutes statue). Originally there was a meeting house on the green, which was much larger at the time of donation. .  It's a great spot to take in holiday lights during the holiday season. Also other holidays, like veterans day and others, often include displays or performances. As a heavily policed area it's its usually a safe area to bring family.

My wife and I have now gone to the Taunton Green 3years in a row around Christmastime. Christmas Carols playing, lights and old-fashioned displays of Carole’s, Santa, Candyland, trees, sleighs and more. This year we actually got to see Santa in his workshop. What a great job this city does as they offer FREE pictures with Santa!! FREE color prints for whoever wants one. Just a sweet, local attraction for families to spend 30-40 minutes enjoying the lights, music and atmosphere. Adorable. Joel & Rosalie...Boston, MA
