Played here for the first time on August 3. The green are in pretty good shape and true but a little slow. Fairways are so-so and in desperate need of water. Tee boxes are something else. Not so good and very weedy and in need of some grass.
The grill attendant was very good and friendly as was the starter. The young man in the pro shop needs an attitude adjustment! Not friendly and very pissy.

If you haven't played The National recently, then you're seriously missing out! The National is back...the course is playing hard and fast and the greens are in great shape. The crew has done a fantastic job on the course, and the clubhouse and restaurant staff are the absolute best! The National is back to being the gem of Central MA...it's challenging but fair, scenic and loads of fun! I highly recommend it!

Have you ever wanted to travel to an enchanted course just 1hr away from Boston that entertained you at every turn, begged you to challenge the fairways and rewarded you with good shots? Well travel no farther folks, head out to Blackstone National.

Upon first arriving in Sutton you will notice the beauty of the countryside, the quaint New England architecture and the large inviting greens and fairways. But jump on the cart and start traveling into the woods and what opens up is pure pleasure.

Do yourself a huge golf favor and grab your buddies, make a reservation, take the day off and head out to a course that will have you smiling for days to come.

Blackstone National is a hidden treasure and now is the very best time to experience it as the leaves start changing. The course is is superb shape and the beer is cold!

Conditions were horrendous. This course has ZERO (0) drainage. I had swamp foot by the time I was done. Booking was super easy and the pro/assistant was friendly. The hospitality on the other hand?? THE ABSOLUTE WORST when it comes to playing at a golf course. Drive up, pay and then bring the receipt to the starter/cart boss. It was mass confusion. One of the carts in the group had GPS and the other didn't. My friend drove back to the starter and asked for another cart with GPS and he stated they were reserved for other players (non members. they give preferential treatment). Furthermore, while on the course there was a note on the cart that states cart path only for a few holes. So we're driving and all of the sudden the cart shuts down and it has to be pushed to an area not blocked off. There were times when the cart shut down on the cart path. For the price they charge for green fees ($90.00), all carts should have GPS, and they should be geo-fenced properly. I've been golfing for 25 years and this is by far... the worst experience I ever had. I would say to never go there.

Completed second round of golf here today for this season. Definitely will not be going back this year, or at least not on a weekend day.

When you arrive, you meet the cart warden, yes the cart warden. "What time? You can't move the cart. Don't move the cart! You are not allowed to move the cart!" I got it, don't move the cart. To add insult to injure he blocks you with his cart until he releases you. He was so rude I asked a younger employee if the curmudgeon owns the course or is he just naturally rude and irritating.

On the course, the conditions are top notch, credit and kudos to the superintendent and grounds keepers.

Pro shop scheduling, not a highlight. They started us on the 10th and our group plays quickly, it was a painful round lasting well over 5 hours.

Try it during the week or be prepared for a long round on the weekend.

Oh yea, you can't move the cart. Seinfeld's Soup Nazi had nothing on this guy.

Purchased the Blàckstone card this year from Blackstone National Golf Course and was very happy with it. Buy one get one rounds; 3 free rounds; a lesson and use of the driving range. Would recommend buying the card for next year. Course was in good shape all summer.only complaint is they do have a lot of tournaments.during the week and you may not always get the tee times you want. As with most public courses you may experience a longer round than you would like especially on weekends.

have never golfed here but the greenery is beautiful. The restaurant is especially good, but of course, extremely pricey. Have been here for events before and had a good time.

Off the 1st tee you need a shorter club to a dogleg left that may fool you to think this course is a piece of cake. It won't take long to realize you've been fooled. BN is always in tip top shape with fairly fast greens. While not the least expensive course around you get what you pay for. Lots of elevation changes into gorgeous greens, ample fairways that still seem to find a way to send your ball wayward and most holes carved out of the trees give you a feeling of owning the course. Tip: take 2 extra clubs on the uphill par 3 7th!
