Hangar tourney
Sep 2018 • Business
Another great tourney. Couse was a little damp , greens were soft and fast (go figure) . Challenging , fun , great views. I wish it was closer. For Western Ma. public courses I’d go with

Course-friendly raincheck policy
May 2018 • Friends
While the course is in good shape, for the second time in two years we booked with a chance of rain showers all day. We booked once on golfnow, and the other time directly through the course. This time, we arrived and played 9 holes with mostly dry weather. Storms started brewing right over us, so we went into the restaurant and spent $140 on lunch and drinks (it rained more than 1.5 hours). We tried to go out and play the 10th hole, and it started raining hard again (fairways were soaked). When we went into the clubhouse to ask for a 9 hole raincheck, the guy said they don't issue them unless the course closes. This was their excuse last time, and the guy admitted that the course rarely closes. As I said, this is the 2nd time they've done this. What they lost this time is another chance for us to come back to play 18 (and pay for another 9 holes). We decided that while the course is one of the nicest around, we won't return because of their "course friendly" raincheck policies.

Golf Outing So good for so long then we had dinner.
Sep 2017 • Friends
Great golf course, great service, great bar, friendly staff.  Group of 24 had drinks and dinner after golf. Great drinks. The dinner was  buffet style, with chicken and steak. The chicken was so so. The STEAK was terrible. The Ranch should be embarrassed for serving what would not have been bad beef jerky.  I don't think one person finished the steak. Also, served bread rolls, that could have been used as golf balls, they were that hard.

Disappointing
May 2017 • Friends
Well, when you go to a golf course restaurant.....with beautiful grounds and
a comfortable outdoor seating area, you would expect a higher class menu
and no "sneaky" add-ons . Not the case here ! Mussels are expensive for
what looked like a child's portion...The "Ranch Burger" is described on the menu
to include tomato, lettuce, and CHEESE. When you get your bill you will see a
dollar add-on charge for CHEESE ! Really? Needless to say ...nothing fancy here
and kind of nickel and dime feeling.. UGH.

Beautiful Course
Apr 2017 • Friends
This is one of the nicest courses to play in Western Mass.
Even during the drought we had last year the Ranch was in great shape.

Challenging Public Golf at its Best
Jun 2016 • Friends
The Ranch Golf Club is not a course for the timid. Narrow fairways, deep roughs, frequent obstacles, long carries and significant elevation changes. challenge the best of golfers. The course is maintained perfectly with lush fairways and true, fast greens. On some holes, the views alone are worth the price of admission. The practice area is first rate with a driving range, putting green, chipping green and sand trap. Food and drinks are usually available on the course as well as in the club house restaurant.

Beautiful Venue
Jul 2016 • Family
The Ranch Golf Club not only has a beautiful and challenging course but it is a nice venue for special events and entertainment.

This weekend we enjoyed a family luncheon in the Club House at the Ranch and everything was very good. The lunch consisted of assorted wraps that were quite large and delicious, served with potato salad, macaroni salad and a garden salad. The dessert tray was tempting but did not have dessert. There were pitchers of water, lemonade and ice tea on the tables. Service was excellent.

There is a larger banquet room that looks like a barn and we have attended birthday parties, bridal showers and baby showers there and it was always an excellent experience for both the food and the venue.

Check out their website as they have entertainment on Thursday and sometimes Friday evenings from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Lunch
Jun 2016 • Couples
My husband and I went for lunch the other day. Our waitress was very nice, but the food was just so so. The bacon on my husbands Blt was very over cooked. I had flatbread which was ok. Also it was quite warm in there. Almost uncomfortable. If I wanted to sweat over my food I would've eaten outside. You'd think for a fancy golf club, the standards would've been higher.
