What a beautiful attraction in the center of town. The staff are very knowledgeable. We bought some freshly ground cornmeal to try a few of their recipes. The landscape surrounding the place is extremely well kept.

Year after year I love coming to see the Grist Mill. Hoxie house and savor the delicious spring water bubling up from the boxed fountain right on the sidewalk below the mill. This is an exquisitely picturesque are. Just check the times and days when open. I missed getting my stone ground corn meal because the mill was closed on Wednesday.

This is a quick stop but well worth it. Very picturesque! Enjoy! Met a fisherman there who was actually fishing for bass.

The Mill is a beautiful site. I walked around it taking pictures. The sound of the running water is very pleasant as is the view of the pond in front of the mill. Today the mill was not in operation but there were a few people walking around. I need to return to see it it in action but todays visit was enjoyable.

This was a cute little stop. You don't need more than 30 minutes here, but it is interesting to see the history and it is still a working mill. Across the street is the church that is on the Elvis gospel album cover. Nice bonus.

This was a great learning tour. The tour guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. It's always nice to learn about the history of our area. Very interesting to learn how the corn is processed as well as about the machine used to do this.

the Mill was used for the town's people to bring their corn and have it milled for them. We watched the water wheel turn and grind the corn into fresh meal. They didn't have flour so they used corn for their breads, etc. Interesting and informative and the tour guides were great. Ken, gave me the recipe for Indian pudding made from corn meal...can't wait to get home and try it. Only $5 admission per person (cash only)
