Unique boardwalk, over marshes, and at times during high tide, one can see seals! and the walk ends at the "dunes" with excellent view of the beach and sea. Takes about half-hour or 2 hours walking at the dunes! Excellent breezes!

I was really looking forward to visiting but was a bit disappointed. We were not planning on staying long-just wanted to take a walk across the boardwalk and enjoy the view but had to pay the $20 daily parking fee-which must be paid by card only. We arrived at low tide so the marsh area was more mud than anything else. There were some kids exploring and people kayaking in the shallow waters. We crossed the boardwalk, which was nice, although there is some portion without handrails which could be troubling for some. When we reached the end of the boardwalk, at the top of the dune, there was not much room to stand and admire the view. You had to go down the stairs to the beach (which was fine with me but not my boys who didn’t want to get sand in their sneakers) or be in the way of foot traffic. The tide was out so there was a lot of beach but a lot of it was rocky. I enjoyed my short walk looking at the rocks and shells but had higher expectations.

The sandwich boardwalk is a cool place to visit. On the other side of the dune is a beach and then the boardwalk stretches across a marsh. During high tide people jump off the boardwalk into beautifully clear water. Also, tons of crabs were around that people were catching. A little right to walk along but well worth the visit.

It is just beautiful here with lots to do. We even saw a giant osprey nest. You can swim, walk, kayak or just relax. Check it out when in Sandwich.

This is a beautiful location with ample parking. $20 daily fee. Only credit cards accepted and masked attendants. This is the sum total of the Covid compliance. There is a beautiful big beach but steep stairs to access it. Many families with young children were sitting by the inlets. The Boardwalk runs over a marsh which changes with the tides. Kids are allowed to jump off the bridge section of the Boardwalk which is fun to watch. However, 75% of the people were not wearing masks on the Boardwalk where it is impossible to stay 6 feet apart when passing (more like 6 inches) and trying to get through the pile of kids on the bridge waiting to jump in the water was almost impossible. There should be a sign requiring masks at both ends of the Boardwalk. Until then, this will be our last visit.
