Lovely walk to the beach with terrific views of the shoreline
Oct 2021
If you love nature, you will enjoy a walk from the hotel to the Boardwalk. There is adequate car parking and a handicapped parking area: all are inviting.

Quiet beach settings
Oct 2021 • Couples
Give it a 3.5 stars. There broadwalk offers a great view of the beach and marsh land. Plenty of parking spaces. Folks can walk on the beach or there is a walkway along the marsh. Not many people goes here. Definitely recommended coming here.

Meditative boardwalk to the beach
Sep 2021 • Family
This is one of the highlights of my occasional trip to Sandwich. A small bridge from the parking lot followed by a nice long boardwalk over salt marshes. So peaceful and meditative, even if there are lots of folk around. I’ve come in many different seasons and this destination never ceases to delight.

Boardwalk
Aug 2021 • Family
It is a nice, long boardwalk over marshes and water. The beach at the end was not too inviting, full of seaweeds. Still worth going for a short walk, but not the $20 parking fee.

Nice Stroll
Jul 2021 • Family
Nice stroll to the beach area. But that is all it is. Don’t expect more. $20 to park after 4pm it’s free. You can see Provincetown at the end of the cape from the end of the boardwalk. Snow cone food truck available in the parking lot.

Fantastic Views!
Jun 2021 • Friends
I chose this place as a new adventure after reading the positive reviews. The boardwalk itself was well maintained and offered views of crab and fish filled bogs. The beach was not too crowded and had all kinds of beautiful rocks to look at. The sand seemed a bit rocky. The only downside was that a large group of people congregated on the boardwalk as we were leaving and it was hard to get by.

Enjoyable Walk Over the Marshes to the Dunes
May 2021
We always try to find unique and different things to do in the places we visit, but especially outdoors. We were here in May before Memorial Day so there was no parking fee when we visited. With the exception of the bridge at he beginning of the walk there is no handrail or barrier on either side of the boardwalk. The condition of the boardwalk was very good. Along the walk there is a lot to see if you love nature, plants, flower, birds, crabs, wildlife and finally the beach at the end of the path. Lots of photo ops. The parking lot is not that big and it was quite full when we visited. The bridge at the beginning of the boardwalk is narrow and can get cluttered with people stopping for pictures. I can see this being much more challenging in season. An enjoyable experience.

Breathtaking stroll

Beautiful spot to stroll above the marsh and end up on a lovely beach with dunes and protected areas for endangered birds’ nesting habitats.

Cool
May 2021 • Solo
I was here the week before Memorial Day Weekend. I’ve seen others say parking is $20. There was no charge for parking on my visit but that might be due to it still technically being “off season.” There isn’t room for a lot of cars so I imagine this fills up quick in summer. The boardwalk itself is a cool walk over marsh and water. Most of it does not have handrails. It leafs out to the beach. It’s a pretty rocky beach. Nice place to visit and explore.

Fascinating Boardwalk!
Oct 2020
Unique boardwalk, over marshes, and at times during high tide, one can see seals! and the walk ends at the "dunes" with excellent view of the beach and sea. Takes about half-hour or 2 hours walking at the dunes! Excellent breezes!
