A must when visiting the Cape! Captain Awesome lived up to his name, delivering an unforgettable learning experience for our family and friends. He was enthusiastic, extremely patient with our diverse group of kids (ages 5-12), and well prepared. Before we arrived he had set up an entire learning tent on the beach, complete with water tanks and nets for exploration. We then went on a short learning walk where adults and children all laughed, and learned so much about the history of the Cape, as well as hands-on marine biology. Highly recommended!! Just contact them with your availability, and their team will customize a hands-on learning adventure for your group!!!

Went on this tour as part of the American Cruise Line package. We took a tour around the sandy dunes of Provincetown. It was a great and very educational experience that I would absolutely recommend. Captain Awesome was very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does.

I was looking for an educational and fun experience during our annual trip to cape cod. I found this and was shocked at the reasonable price, so booked the full moon tidal pool exploration right away. The team was so professional, even rescheduling the night when torrential rains came. When we went on the rescheduled our two nights later, it was a highlight of our trip! So much to see, fund, touch and learn! Plus the added sense of adventure of exploring at night was great! Highly recommend this for your kids!

This trip was one of the highlights of our stay on the Cape! Jeffery is very knowledgeable and approachable. The experience was very hands on and educational. My kids were waist deep in tide pools handling lobsters and star fish in their natural environments all while learning! Jeffrey brings a portable science lab equipped with a microscope so the kids can really examine the life in the water that they are learning about! They had so much fun in the salt water marsh they didn't want to leave! I highly recommend it!!!

I went on a tour with my sister and her 3 yr old son. It was lovely! Cap Awesome was engaging on levels suited for both adults and children, switching between the two with ease. Highly recommend. :')

We had such a fun and educational time at the Full Moon Tidal Pool Adventure. Our guide was Mary Beers and her enthusiasm and patience was incredible. Every time a child brought her something to look at, she gave them her full attention and immense knowledge. My family learned so much about the life in the Tidal pools and we look forward to attending another Cape Cod Learning Tour Adventure!

We've been vacationing on the Cape for a while now, and have taken a number of tours over the years. We always try to find activities that will help to deepen our understanding of the ecology and natural history of the area, and so I was excited when I found the Cape Cod Learning Tours site. I was a little concerned about booking a tour for just two adults (and no children), but Jeff was immediately enthusiastic and accommodating, and went out of his way to check the tide table details and find a location to explore that we weren't familiar with.
From the moment he picked us up (a fantastic convenience, since we were staying up in Provincetown), Jeff demonstrated impressive knowledge of the Cape's particular development and history, and within minutes of arriving at the tidal site he'd selected, we were hands'-on, learning about the animals that live in and depend on the specific ecology of the habitat.
For all the time we'd spent exploring tidal pools and beaches on our own, we'd never known about the snails and worms and plankton that build those beaches from the bottom up. Jeff's enthusiasm and passion for the environment is contagious, and I would highly recommend the experience to everyone - adults and children alike. (Our included fish-'n'-chips lunch was great, too!)

We wanted our vacation to be more than just fun, beach and arcades for our 8, 10 and 11-year-olds. Our naturalist (Mary) was boundless knowledge and energy. For the remainder of our trip, the kids were seeing things in a new, curious light, and so were the parents! I highly recommend!
