Despite its relatively small size, this museum is a must-see for anyone interested in art, history, or both! The beautiful collections of vases, plates, and more showcase Sandwich's rich history in the glass-making industry, and the hourly demonstrations of glass-blowing and half-hourly film showings complement...More

I was pleasantly surprised by this amazing museum. The glass blowing demonstration was educational and interesting. The introductory video is a must see and I highly recommend the Hannah Rebecca Burgess Dining Room exhibit. It is nothing short of amazing. The galleries throughout the building...More

The film gives an excellent history of Sandwich and explains much. The exhibits provide a very good review of lighting in the US. It doesn't take much more than 30-45 minutes and, for history buffs especially, explains and shows a good deal about getting light...More

I loved the glass displays and learned a lot watching the film. It was neat to see a glass blowing demonstration as well. I appreciate glass more now!

Unlike the other reviewers, I'm not going to tell you what a wonderful experience awaits those who wander into the Sandwich Glass Museum. If anything, I'd advise you to avoid the place. My impression was that it's really a tourist trap, flogging high priced glassware...More

Beautiful colorful glass pieces for sale along with jewelry. Bring your wallet as some pieces are pricey. The cost of entry to the museum is $9.00.

The demonstration is what we liked the most make sure you don't miss it. Also, inside the museum there are some exhibits where you push a button and glass moves or someone starts explaining the displayed items, that was nice too.

Such an interesting museum! We watched the documentary and learned all about local glassmaking history. It was fascinating! We then sat to watch the glassblowing demonstration. The guy really knew how to play to the audience and it was a beautiful process to watch!
