Heard lots of negative reviews but found this campground to be well maintained and very "friendly". Huge lots but very open . True beach camping. My dogs loved going in the water and we saw lots of dogs there. I will be going back.

The beach is not well maintained and could use a good grading to pick up the trash. I have a pet peeve and it is cigarette butts lying all over. NASTY! Please grade your beach and it would be soooo much cleaner.

No skim boarding, it's a beach and that is one of the main reason to be there. Needs a good cleaning especially by the lifeguard stands.

No lifeguards or charge for parking before 9am - we made it a regular weekend trek, get in before 8am and out by 9am - no traffic, no crowd, just a relaxing time sitting on the beach and watching the waves.

There is something for everyone and you can come almost any time of year, enjoy games and food. The boardwalk beach can be a bit crowded and not the neatest - people really need to stop being so inconsiderate by leaving trash on the beach...More

A great way to spend the day on a nice sandy beach. The sun was nice and the views along the river were great. There is a campground there too, but it does not offer much shade. My favorite part was sitting along the Merrimack...More

Salisbury is a great little beach town to visit. The center beach area is being rebuilt after a storm this winter caused damage but a new boardwalk is being built. The reservation is awesome and if you like to camp this is a great place...More

Our sister-in-law was born here and she insisted that we experience her childhood. You can still feel it... a nice white beach, the arcade, the ice cream shops, music by the water, fun restaurants. We loved it!

This is one of the loveliest beaches in the northeast. Sure the water is cold, but the views are lovely. The walk to the Merrimack River jetty is delightful and it doesn't take much luck to see seals or even a bald eagle! To top...More

In the off season some are open only on weekends. I would suggest calling the particular place that you are interested in visiting.

I would call Salisbury Beach State Reservation Campground, they will be able to either answer the question or let you know who can. I've sat on the beach in November and watched the horses being ridden on the beach.
