FINALLY saw these!

It took awhile - but we found the way - we took Marmian Rd and were able to get a picture - such fun to find all of these

This is a beautiful ride to East Glousecter by car to see the Twin lights. However, it is even more beautiful by boat. Some of the Whale watches go out by the Twin Lights and they tell you the history about them, well worth the price and great whale watching too!!

See them all, they are all beautiful and the history behind each one is very interesting. Enjoy it from the water or from the port.

Book early! The Island is worth it! A summer's day,a salty sea and an island of beauty. The nesting seagulls made the 3 mile walkabout more exciting,as they protected their babies with a vengeance. Photographers, professional as well as amateurs can find their perfect shot in any direction. A lovely picnic spot to soak up the sun and be caressed by... More

To get out to the island/lighthouses, you must contact the folks from Thacher Island (We got the phone number off the website) and book a spot on the boat , which you catch at the pier in Rockport.( I believe it was about 20 dollars a person. Plus it is like a donation to help run the island) It is... More

Not sure where a good place to get the best view is. We drive around trying to find a good spot. It was to windy to try to kayak to the island.

Heading into Rockport you can stop and get some pictures of Twin Lights. Unless you have a private boat there is no way I know of to get out to the island. Interested in lighthouses? Only twin lights on the east coast.

When we visited the State Park nearby a gentleman spotted us as visitors, came over for a chat and told us about the twin lighthouses. He recommended we look out for them on our drive to Rockport which we did. They were easily visible from the shore. Not the weather to go across, snow and ice still lying on the... More
