As far as beaches around Boston in December, I think it was up to par, but it was cold, a bit dreary and not spectacular. But it was December, so it wasn't terrible.

Revere has really picked up on the summer activities here. There is a lot going on from May to September as well as a farmers market on Thursdays. And there are lots of kid friendly events all summer as well.

Revere Beach was awesome to go to! Outside of the Beach there was restaurants. The beach was very clean! Revere Beach is the most visited beach in Boston, MA. If you are ever in Boston this is a must place to go!

Its about 23 Minutes driving ,depending on traffic.But its on T Blue Line get off at Wonderland Station or Revere Beach Station

No, it doesn't have a boardwalk. I don't know about the nearby beaches but I don't believe they have boardwalks either. Sorry.
