Tim hand picks all the books in his store and can tell you the provenance of each one. His tastes are eclectic and esoteric - artistic, literary and spiritual, with more than a touch of the subversive and the erotic (it is P-town after all).
A great place to find the memorable and the unexpected. Vacation is supposed to take you away from your habitation and your habits; so, a good book that you never would have come across in your usual haunts is the perfect read.

Loved this place. The owner was friendly and passionate about his work. He talked with my companion for a while about the town and shop itself. We got several books for incredibly cheap. The selection was fairly wide given the type of shop. The ambiance is incredibly charming and reminiscent of an old school or library with creaky wood floors and Dusty tomes. My one complaint is that it's hard to find unless you know what you're looking for, so pay attention to the shop signs

Unique, old school bookstore tucked away up a wooden walkway in the heart of Provincetown.
Leave there every time with a full bag of classic books at incredible prices. Stepping into Tim's is a must. Take time and explore the shelves. You won't be disappointed.

Stacks of books to rummage through on many subjects, from astronomy to theater, but fiction section is disappointingly small. Pricing a bit high.

This was my second visit ever, the first being a few years ago. Nothing has changed, which is perfect. The owner is awesome, the deals are great, and a huge selection. It was busy but he somehow managed to speak with everyone and assist with questions and ring people out. My companion who isn’t really a reader ended up picking out a history book, a novel, and a comic, and I got a novel and we spent about $15, which is way more than reasonable for the cape. I honestly couldn’t figure out how it even if the books were organized beyond genre, but I truly think that is part of the charm. It has that lovely book smell, and a very wide selection of books on every topic. Be prepared to spend a while browsing through the aisles. Will definitely be back

I had not noticed this bookstore located in a house down a small alley. Great selection and fair prices. I came out with 2 big bags of books and my wife just rolled her eyes. Saying more books. LOL

I was surprised at how large a selection of books they had. The prices were reasonable. It's a place you can sit and sift through

This place is initially overwhelming. So many books in a small space. But I ended up finding a whole bunch of books for really good prices (considering the prices of hardcover books).

We find something here on every visit, four books this time. Nice to find interesting stuff at used prices.
