My wife and I have driven past cranberry bogs for 40+ years, and countless times she has said "I'd love to be in an actual cranberry bog." Well, it only took 4 decades for me to look into it. Mayflower was simple to book, and the people we dealt with were all very helpful and friendly. We did the "Be the Grower" tour which brought us into the bog and had our group assisting with pushing the berries towards a suction hole that sucked the berries into a truck. It was a beautiful day, and we had a really good time.

A visit to Mayflower Cranberries was interesting and informative. The berry covered bog was a beautiful background as the owner told our group about everything you could want to know about the harvesting of the delicious cranberry. We got to watch him on a piece of machinery as he moved through the bog to loosen the berries from the vine. I will never look at cranberry sauce and craisens the same way again. This was a great way to spent time while in the Plympton area.

My husband and I visited the cranberry farm on Oct. 12. This was our second visit, and both times we were delighted! The tour is informative, professional and authentic. On our first visit we saw the cranberries being extracted from the bog, and on this visit we saw Mr. Lafeur using the harvester to remove the berries from the vines so they would float to the top for extraction. Mr. LaFleur provides a wealth of information on the industry, and allows ample time with visitors, and answers everyone's questions. Everyone on the farm was cordial and inviting. I would HIGHLY recommend this experience. It is worth the time and money many times over!

I highly recommend doing the Bogside dinner ! It was such a fun experience. You get to go in the bog & take photos, while learning about the farming of cranberries. The food that was served was very good! Jeff & his family were incredibly nice & accommodating. I can’t recommend this enough ! You won’t regret it !

Fantastic one on one experience with Jeff, who has become a farmer later in life. Our group loved the personal experience and learned much about farming cranberries. He also offers the chance for people to help bring in the harvest for a nominal charge. You can put on waders and push cranberries with him in the fall. Delightful decorations in barn and reasonably priced gift items too.

WOW! I still rave about the "Be The Grower" experience they offer! So much fun and not easy work harvesting cranberries but to be able to put on waders, get in the middle of a flooded bog and help harvest cranberries (and sample the fresh berries) was exactly what I imagined it would be and checked off a longtime bucket list item of mine! The staff of the cranberry farm is top-notch and made the experience engaging and informative. My fellow growers were a hoot and we all worked together to full one huge truck full of cranberries and watch it roll out headed straight to Ocean Spray!

If it was possible to give such a rating this place well deserves that score. Although I did not put on waders and be part of the "Be A Grower" experience, just taking the tour, listening to owner Jeff talk about Ocean Spray as well as the cranberry growing and harvesting process, was excellent. Jeff was informative and he and his staff were so friendly. Personally I have completed over 150 reviews for Trip Advisor and this is one of the top ten places I have ever reviewed. Check out the website to learn more about the two choices: actually helping with the harvesting or being an observer. Highly recommend this experience.

We had the best time at "Be The Grower" experience, actually and physically harvesting cranberries, mind you we are all in our 70's, but with the help of Jeff's crew who were such young gentlemen, polite and so helpful with helping us put on our waders and getting into the bog to harvest, we were confident and put at ease with their guidance and the cranberries we tasted in the bog were delicious. Thank you Jeff Lafleur for a great experience and organization, loved it.

We walked right out to the bog which was being wet harvested. The berries had already been beaten off the vines and "corralled". Some on our tour put on waders and actually helped in the process. I would do that next time!

During our fall colors trip this October, we wanted to visit a cranberry bog. Not only did we visit, but thanks to the Be the Grower Tour at Mayflower Cranberries, we actually got to help harvest the cranberries. It was such a blast! Jeff and his crew were so friendly, informative and helped us get lots of pictures! It was definitely the highlight of our trip!
