Great morning on the water. We followed a mother whale and her calf for quite awhile. We saw other whale exhaled in the distance, a blue shark and a bunch of dolphins. The captain kept us close but not too close to the mom and calf.

Today's Captain John's Whale Watch experience was excellent. This was my friend's activity of choice for her birthday. There were many reasons for which this was a great trip/experience, but what stands out for me is the sense of team and professionalism among the crew. Every team member -- from the ticket office to the folks who took our tickets as we boarded to Kelly, who provided valuable info throughout the trip, to the captain, etc., they were all great. One got the sense that they all "wanted" to be there and had a passion for marine life.... We took the 9:00 whale watching cruise today. Temperatures turned out to be in the 90's with 80 percent humidity....hot enough?... but it was a bit cooler and breezy on the boat -- and simply lovely. Plan to arrive early enough because you have to get parking, etc. Also, Cape traffic can be heavy, and Plymouth is very close to the Cape. The nearby parking ot, located over by The Memorial Building (across the street from the wharf) is fairly small -- but we snagged a space.Choose how long you wish to stay at $2 per hour, up to 10 hours max. There's a little bit of work involved in paying for the spot, so definitely leave time for that....and also time to walk, in case that lot is full. If you have anyone handicapped or elderly in your group, you might want to drop them off right at the ticket office so that they don't have to walk. There are benches outside the gift shop just across from the ticket office where they can wait. Clothing -- Some days on a boat it can get very cool (cold) and windy, but today was hot. It may be a good idea to dress so that you can add layers if needed -- or peel them off. I was fine in a light summer dress. Lots of folks in shorts and shirts. It was hot -- but cooler on the boat than on the shore, with that salty ocean breeze. The guide, Kelly, offered loads of interesting. information. She was simply excellent -- passionate about the sea, welcoming, etc., and all of the other staff, too, were great. And the whales were lovely. We were told that what got seen would be different each trip, but it was lovely seeing that mist spraying out from the whales, watching those beautiful creatures dive and every once in a while surface. There was also a lot of time (between whales) spent relaxing, enjoying the beautiful sea, etc. The information about the whales and the ocean, in general, was really interesting and fun. Why is the ocean off the coast of Mass. greenish? How do various kinds of whales eat? How does a blow hole work? There was loads of info -- offered in a manner that was fun, clear, and. inviting. All in all, it was a very fun time. It cost $60.00 and was well worth the four-hour adventure.

Had the best time on the whale watch. It was a windy day which made for the ocean being choppy. This only add to to fun with the waves getting most of us wet if didn’t mind standing where the waves came over. When we got far enough out to see the whales we were not disappointed. It seemed the whales were putting on a show for us. It was an amazing sight. I would definitely recommend.

Nice experience. The staff is nice. There’s food and snacks with reasonable prices on boat. Prepare jackets, sunglasses, camera and batteries.
