We loved our visit, the wine, the sauces & the staff. Laura the manager was so helpful and great to talk with. We went back the next day and had Tess & Mike who were also great. We loved the wine & for $20 we tried 13 wines, comes with a small cheese, cracker plate, sample of a a tasty piece of chocolate and jams & sauces they sell. I bought the springbok sauce. The first day we sat on the porch and 2nd day was a group of 6 of us inside. This is great for couples, groups and some kids were there too.

Tasted all the wines, a few jelly’s, and bought a few bottles! We loved our tasting, the manager (who’s name I can’t remember for the life of me), was so much fun to talk with while we did our tasting. Not crowded on a Sunday too! Will definitely be back.

We came here during our visit to Plymouth and really enjoyed talking to the staff and trying the wines that are available. Plymouth Bay Winery focuses on fruit wines and has a wide selection of different types. For $10 you get to taste them all, as well as some of the jams that they make using these wines.

We were told that the off season is the best time to visit since in the summer, they get extremely busy.

On several recommended lists, we were greeted by the owner and manager and had a very nice visit in very nice accommodations near the water. If you enjoy sweet wines, and grapeless fruit wines, this is the place for you. Not for the experienced wine traveler.

Came in for wine tasting and they asked if I wanted inside or out. Chose out. Went out and sat. And sat. Then a couple joined me and they got served. No one even looked at me let alone asked if I wanted wine tasting. Took my business elsewhere. Sad. But the ap’s sangria was quite good. Lesson is bring a date or a friend maybe ?

The winery is a place that makes "wine" from fruit berries to be exact
The 5$ tasting is the way to get familiar with the wonderful job there doing there.
The wine bottles are a little bit expensive considering it's not wine but the products are good.

We visit Plymouth regularly throughout the year, but never have visited Plymouth Bay Winery, so we thought we would give it a looksee. On a cold blustery Saturday my partner and I ventured into the run down retail store where we were greeted by the owner. We were the only customers and were treated to a boring monologue about the fruit wines. We tried several wines all of which were geared to light summer drinking, but nothing that jumped out as particularly unique. The owner and his wife told us that the wines sell well during the tourist season when bus loads of punters visit the store.
The wines are perfect for non discriminating drinkers who enjoy sangri and other light cocktails, but otherwise are unremarkable. I am not sure why or how the place makes money but it must be doing something right.

My wife and I stopped by for a wine tasting. We both enjoyed the Widow's Walk. Unlike three other wineries we have visited in the past week in the Berkshires of Massachusetts, Plymouth Bay Winery can only sell glasses of wine for onsite consumption - bottles can't be purchased for onsite consumption. A bottle of Widow's Walk is $15, while a glass is $10. A six oz pour means a group of four people wishing to each have a glass of wine will pay $40 total for something that other wineries in MA would only charge $15. I am a wine club member for a castle winery in Napa Valley CA - $48 gets you many wines that are vastly superior to anything at Mill River. I get it, Farm Winery Licenses are only about $100 compared to the $1000s for a general restaurant/open pour liquor license - but then pay it back to your customers with those license cost savings. I expect glasses of wine for a $15 bottle to be $5 - a 30% 'up charge' for purchasing by the glass vs bottle is reasonable, not 265% as is the case at Plymouth Bay. My recommendation is do a tasting, and if with several folks, each do a different tasting and 'mini-share' as-needed to find a wine that the group likes, then purchase a bottle to take home. The Widow's Walk was tasty, but so was the French blend I just purchased at a liquor store in Orleans MA for $12.

The staff were waiting for us when we arrived, and were happy to meet us. Plenty of free parking out front, great view of the water and marina. The wines were varied and delicious! Service was great, the little snacks and extras were much to our liking. Clean unisex restroom.

Go here for a unique gustatory experience. Our group tried 3 wines and 2 jellies. The wines tend toward the sweet side and wine was used in the making of the jellies and sauces. One sauce is recommended as a replacement for butter in mashed potatoes. The pourer, possibly owner, seemed invested in the products and had a sense of humor when telling many anecdotes. He shows a brief video of their "appearance" on Good Morning America. It's a small place that offers other wine paraphernalia for sell. They have a view of the harbor too.
