We brought my family on Captain John Boats whale watch on 8/23/16. The whale watch itself was excellent. The only negative experience was the ship was filled at max capacity, and as a result to see anything you were standing vs. having the ability to sit. Even with that, we had a great time. We saw at least 5 different... More

So this morning 8/29/16 My best friend and I headed out to Whale Watch. My 15th time, her FIRST!! the ride out to Stellwagen Bank was filled with beautiful sights, Bug Light Lighthouse, nicely narrated by the on boat Naturalist, Sarah. We started encountering whales about 50 minutes out and they never stopped!!!! First a Mother whale with her baby,... More

Had a great day trip on The Fast Ferry. About 1hr 40min trip each way. About 4hrs 45 mins in port. Staff friendly. Sitting on the outside benches we couldn't hear any announcements including any safety briefings. They leave P'town exactly on time, so don't be late for the return boat. Parking in Plymouth Town lots is $10 for 10... More

We went to a family reunion with a gathering from a 1 year old to 92 years old and had a great time. The crew was fabulous and the boat ride was smooth and relaxing. The bar was great and the food brought in was excellent. We would recommend Captain Johns to anyone for one person couples family's etc.

I traveled on the Captain Johns Boats for the fast ferry to Provincetown. The crew were good and the Captain was friendly. Good trip if you don't want to spend the day driving all the way to PTown.

We did the 9am whale watching cruise. Within seconds of entering the conservation area. We saw 3 mother and calf pairs (humpbacks), minke whales feedings and a pod of dolphins swam around and under the boat. The amount of whales that could be seen in the close distance and surrounding the boat was amazing. I did not expect to see... More

We went on this excursions not sure whether it would be worth it, maybe just another touristic thing for easy money. Well it took a while to get to the right spot but then seeing the whales just a few meters away from the boat was the most amazing experience!! It was so emotional it is hard to describe. We... Amazing whale watching trip. We saw 3 pairs of Humpback whale mommies and their babies. We saw a pod of dolphins and some Minke whales. The marine biologist was great! One of the Mommies was a whale she had first seen when she was a 5 year old kid. Great story! Highly recommend this trip!

I bought tickets on Groupon for a great deal. We spent 5 hours out and saw 3 sets of mothers with calves! We also were greated by a small pod of dolphins which were so fun to watch. Laurie our guide and Russ our Caption, very nice people. We had a full boat (over 200 ppl) but there was plenty... More
