We DO NOT carry lanterns on our tour. I understand it adds to the "creep" factor, and seems cool, however, call me an "old Boy Scout", I have an inherent distrust of fire walking around old antique wooden homes. Accidents happen, and I have, myself, been witness to some involving lanterns here in Plymouth. nothing intentional, just an accident. I err on the side of safety first and foremost.
We do not enter any "haunted houses" here either. Understand that as an investigator, my first priority to investigate a building is to be sure NO power or electrical of any kind is operational...this includes phone systems. As all buildings in the area are residences, or museums, (sometimes BOTH!), this factor comes into play. Our investigations are open air, away from electro-magnetic fields, 100% historically researched, accurate, and truthful.
Thanks for asking!
