This was our second visit to the Colonial Theatre, which is a grand old building. Our first visit was to attend a concert and this time to go to the opera. Our seats were in the Gallery section, which is the 2ne balcony. Although the straight back seats got a little uncomfortable, the accoustics were excellent and views fine. We... More

Have seen several concerts here including PDQ Bach, Justin Hayward and others. Beautiful concert hall, but some seats, particularly those more to the side and upper levels are lacking in both comfort and acoustic sound reflection or quality. Unless the performer or promoter uses significant sound reinforcement and they reupholster the seats (which of course may affect sound and acoustics)... More

I recently took my granddaughter who is four, we went to go see Beauty and the Beast . It's a beautiful venue very ornate. I have been there on several occasions and all of the seats that we have had are always good views. It's not too large that you have a hard time seeing from any particular area .... More

Fabulous! There are no bad seats here and the acoustics are perfect. No wonder this theater is rated one of the ten best in the world.

Excellent theater offering many different shows, musicals, comedy, drama, and local talent. Beautiful restoration of an historical building.

High quality acting. The show was great and the seats were terrific. We were able to get 1/2 price tickets which is the way to go!

We've been attending the Berkshire Theater Group offerings for a number of years now in Stockbridge and found their productions really great. This year we took the granddaughters to see the Little Shop of Horrors at the Colonial. The theater is an restored old vaudeville theater and is really nice. The production was good with Broadway actors. I was really... More

I did a report on this location when I was in Elementary School not knowing one day people would raise enough money to band together to make it come to life yet again. Gorgeous and so historic and regal. They knew how to build good theaters back in the old days.. the acoustics are wonderful.. no matter what you end... More

The show was really excellent. The theatre is similar to Northampton Academy of Music theatre, but with more comfortable and better sized seating and layout. Holds a large number of people, and has more than ample toilets. Parking (limited) RIGHT next door and easy access to the Berkshire Museum half a block away.

The acoustics are amazing and the classic décor is phenomenal. I will definitely return for another event.
