best theatre in The Berkshires

Have yet to attend a performance that did not measure up to Broadway standards. Great staging. New plays well produced and acted.

We took our son with us to see Tribes & the play was a big hit with all of us. Thought-provoking, humorous with lots of moving moments. Excellent acting by the whole cast, but especially the girlfriend who spun through difficult transitions between hearing & near-deafness & translating with ease. You can get $10.00 off the already reasonable ticket price... More

Excellent production of a play about hearing disabled and affect on relations. Some humor interspersed, but basically serious treatment.

We see a show by Barrington Stage Company every time we visit The Berkshires. This time we saw Broadway Bounty Hunter. Very funny and entertaining. A very enjoyable evening.

First encounter with Barrington Stage Co.., but not my last. I have never seen a better production of a Gilbert & Sullivan production. The theater is small and without obstructions. Excellent acoustics. Great sets and lighting. Actors first rate and well directed. I'm planning to see their next show, Tribes.

It's way off Broadway, but the productions shine so you won't notice. The musicals are well done - using every bit of the smaller stage creatively. The performers are star ready, both dancing and singing are at New York City levels and bring the quality of the show to a high level. A performance at Barrington Stage is a summer... More

We were excited to learn of the Barrington Stage production of "Pirates of Penzance". It has been quite a long time since any theater in our area has mounted the show. We knew of Barrington's excellent reputation and the fact that they use famous Broadway and other professional actors, so we KNEW it would be good. Therefore we drove approx.... More

I had won tickets and have never been so I had no idea what to expect but what a pleasant surprise! The intimate theater was perfect and there didn't look to be a bad seat in the house. The stage was cleverly done, the production amazing and the humor and singing a joy! For regional theater, these were Performers with... More

I just saw The Pirates of Penzance at the Barrington Stage theater in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. This was the best theater production I have seen in ages including Broadway productions. The actors were "to a person" phenomenal. The director, the musicians, the set including an actual ship was unbelievable. I am at a loss to express what a fantastic show this... More
