I gave my daughter and my husband a voucher for Christmas to attend this course in the beautiful Gower. They are so thrilled as they have learnt so much today and tasted such wonderful food . My husband is so full of enthusiasm as is my daughter . I am looking forward to enjoying the meal made by them next week !! They both think the day is such wonderful value . An excellent Gift idea .

Fun with Kate
Apr 2015 • Couples
this is the third time my husband and I have booked a cookery course with Kate, all very different, A fun packed day with so much information and tips to take home with you. Food to die for and tastes brilliant, will book again and again. The cost ,for a cookery course and tasting all you cook plus wine and the entertainment, is certainly well worth it. It suits all levels of cooking experience and is a great way of meeting like minded people.

As a Xmas stocking filler, my generous hubby bought me a days cooking tuition with Kate at L'Amuse Chez Kate. What a gem of a day it turned out to be. I am a confident and experienced cook but to spend time watching Kate effortlessly whip together a huge range of dishes blew me away.
We arrived at 10:00 and the small group of 6 (Kate only runs small groups) got to know each other over a freshly squeezed mixed fruit drink on the patio. Kate holds these cookery days at her beautiful home in Gower and to spend time in the rare spring sunshine with panoramic views over the Gower coast was divine.
After introductions and donning of aprons, away we went into the kitchen where we helped in bread making and Kate demonstrated a large range of amuse bouche and main courses. All questions on cookery were expertly answered and throughout the day, Kate's great sense of humour kept us amused and her experience of running professional fine dining restaurants gave us a great insight to how professional kitchens work.
Mid morning coffee & petit fours was followed by more cooking and at the end of the session we all sat together in the beautiful dining room (views over Three Cliffs) sharing the dishes Kate had prepared for us with the benefit of glasses of lovely wine.
All in all, it was a thoroughly enjoyable day and I would recommend it for all levels of cooks.
It also makes a great gift for friends with an interest in improving their cooking skills and confidence.
The icing on the cake? You go away with a binder of all the dishes Kate has cooked so no excuse for not trying them when you get home.................
