Having past the signs on the main road many times, during a family camping trip I finally drummed up the drive to investigate. Apart from the fantastic views, my inquisition turned into a fantastic afternoon of learning and fun. After speaking to Brian, I booked myself and my son in for an hour of archery and the falconry show.
From the moment we arrived Brian and his team were attentive, informative and provided a fantastic experience. An hours archery experience, with essential safety and technical tuition to start with, leading to continuing advice during the session, gave a great insight into the sport from very experienced and passionate people. With a short break to grab a coffee from the cafe, the falconry show came next. Brian with his many years of experience keeping these amazing birds, shared his passion and knowledge, whilst demonstrating the natural abilities and capabilities of the different birds. Despite the current restrictions due to bird flu, the display, whilst held indoors was fantastic.
We would definitely recommend anyone visiting beautiful Gower to pay a visit for a very worthwhile experience, which provides good value for money.
We will definitely be visiting again.

We have been going to Perriswood as a family for a number of years and it’s our happy place. The views are stunning across Oxwich bay and the activities are top drawer and run by people who know exactly what they are doing. The on-site cafe cabin also does delicious cakes, coffee, panini so we have been known to go there on a sunny day just to sit and enjoy the view armed with a coffee and cake. We have done the full gambit now a number of times, archery, rifle shooting, falconry and never get bored. It’s a gem of a place and I’m amazed at how many people don’t know it’s there or have never been. Highly recommended especially on a nice day to fully appreciate the place and the views. Thanks Brian and Julie for another great rifle and archery shooting this weekend. Nicky x

We very much enjoyed the bird-of-prey display, which was given by a real expert who is very invested in his birds. It was very interesting and informative, and the flying was impressive. Ours was their first show since lockdown and he reckoned it was a little limited by the restrictions, but everybody seemed very satisfied with it.

The location is very beautiful, looking down on a bay, so it's perfect for the purpose. They even have a tearoom for a nice cuppa and a cake.

We didn't try the archery, but people looked to be having a good time doing it, and it appeared to be professionally run.

We called yesterday to book our spaces at Archery. When we arrived we were surprised by the lovely views of Oxwich Bay (where we had been the day previous). 5 of us did archery while the other 3 had lattes and cappuccinos from the coffee shop, while taking photos of the archery. Everywhere was clean and COVID guidelines adhered to, I heard others being encouraged to social distance so felt reassured that the owners were keen to protect their customers. Instructions for archery were clear and safe. Everyone working today was very friendly and happy to talk and laugh with us. Toilets were clean. We all finished with a lovely ice cream or piece of cake- all of which we would highly recommend. Walter the Dane was amazing too! Unfortunately we were too early for the falconry show, but may do this later in the holiday! Thank you to the 3 of you for making us feel welcome. The Thompsons.

We've been comming here on and off for over 10 years, and we allways have such a great time doing archery and bird display. Today did not dissapoint, Archery is allways good family fun but the bird of prey display was superb. Brian said at the start that we would see something different this year and it was fantastic. It was more of an educational experience with open questions and answers which Brian was more than happy to answer.. We allways learn something when we come here and the passion they have for the birds really shines out. Thank you so much for all the great memories we've had as a family comming and learning about all the different birds. If youre in the area and want to do something a little different then give this place a try, really intertesting, good fun, lovely people and fantastic value for money.

We visited here on w wet and windy day so the bird display was inside. Although disappointed at first, we realised that by being inside we got to see the birds close up and handle all of them The falconer was very informative and passionate about the birds and gave a great narration about the birds and their habits. Would definitely recommend a visit here - all of the staff are lovely!

I would highly recommend anyone visiting the Gower go to this place ~ it’s brilliant! The owners are lovely, so welcoming and knowledgeable about their birds and archery. We had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon trying archery (Julie was VERY patient with my ineptitude!) and gave all 3 of us in our party the confidence to keep trying ~ so much so, we have looked into archery clubs at home. The falconry display was stunning ~ so much knowledge and the birds are amazing ~ my particular favourite was Little John. I can’t recommend this place highly enough ~ if you are in the area, give it a go. We will definitely be back when we return to the area

As a large family of 6 (with 4 older children’s and a dog) we really had such a good time here. Beautiful surroundings and great facilities, the instructions were clear and we felt very safe. Staff were really lovely and we want to give a special mention to the young ladies who supported us throughout our time here.

We were made to feel welcome and all felt we were given time to develop our archery skills. Being able to bring our dog was a big bonus, we could totally relax and all 6 of us were able to take part.

We would absolutely recommend the Archery here to anyone, there is even a cafe with excellent ice cream. We can’t wait to come back!

I visited Perriswood with my 6 year son and my partner. We had a great afternoon. We had a 30 minute archery lesson where we were clearly shown what to do and felt very reassured by all the COVID measures in place. A short break for a hot chocolate and ice cream in the cafe. We then attended the Bird show with Brian. We saw about 7 birds of prey and Brian spoke with such experience and passion. The weather improved at the end and we were able to move outside and see one of the birds in flight. A great family run business!

Daughter and hubs did Arrows Talons & Tea today. Everyone was very welcoming and knowledgeable. Tea was a plate of a biscuits and a Welsh cake each, with a pot of tea. More than enough and sitting with amazing views of Oxwich Bay was pleasurable. Chap who did falconry was soo knowledgable and you can definitely tell his birds are really looked after. Absolutely STUNNING birds!!! Excellent value for money and DEFINITELY worth a visit!!! Will return as it was a couple of hours extremely enjoyed by all. A must visit if u want to do something different.
