Great spot showing the boundary between forest and open space in central MA. Trail head with parking and access to walking trails in the areas surrounding the Quabbin watershed.

Great hiking. Good excersize without being too strenuous. Enjoyed the river and woods. We are lunch sitting on the bridge.

Well maintained and well marked Reservation. I visited a couple of cellar holes and ran in the Slab City tract/Harvard forest. Plenty of trails/dirt roads to run on or hike and a lot of history (old cellar holes and former fields).
