Decent bikes, bad organization

The bikes themselves were fine. We rented the pedal assist bikes & rode the bike paths in the VH/OB/Edgartown triangle. That was fun. The problems were with organization. They had no record of our rental, and even after we called to confirm the day before, they didn’t record that we wanted them delivered. Then they told us to watch a video, which didn’t in fact explain the trick with the mini-computer. (Turn the battery off & on quickly, then quickly punch the power button of the computer. QUICKLY — that’s the key.) The bikes were delivered around 10:30 for an all-day rental . We had plenty of time still, but the cool part of the day was gone. And the delivery person just dropped them off, without making sure they worked. So, a mixed bag. I’m glad other people have had more luck...

Hi Nancy, I’m sorry to hear about your experience. Unfortunately I think you called another shop to confirm a delivery but booked with us at Pedego, hence the confusion re. delivery. When we understood you requested delivery (around 9:30 am) we hustled to deliver your bikes- we had to send a new employee to deliver the bike, hence the video but the bike did in fact work- once you understood how to turn it on I understand all was well. Please take nation wide labor shortages exacerbated by us being on an island into account- that’s no excuse but we’re doing the best we can under the circumstances, operating with about 50% less staff than we normally do. That being said, please contact me directly for a discount on your next rental, if you decide to return. Be well. Jordan

Jordan and his crew were so easy to work with and accommodating, even in the off-season. We were heading over to Martha's Vineyard for the day, knowing that a lot of places may be closed, so I reached out by phone in the morning to see if they would be open. Jordan gave me a better number to reach him at, and told me to call when we were on our way and he would have two bikes ready for us. Well the ferry was only docking in Vineyard Haven, so we had to figure out how to get over to Oak Bluffs where the storefront was. (bus? uber? taxi?) When I called Jordan back, he happened to be in VH and offered to pick us up from the ferry dock and give us a lift. (No guarantees this would work out any other time, especially during the busy season! But we really appreciated the extra kindness.) We had such a great day riding down to Edgartown for lunch and exploring the island on our electric bikes. FYI - the bikes are "pedal assist" - which basically makes you feel like you are 10 years old and going as fast as you can! But without all the strain of actually pedaling too hard. :) It was a great day and if we make it back to MV sometime, we will definitely be giving Jordan a call again.

Family reunion activity

Had a blast riding e-bikes from oak bluffs to Edgartown.Had intended to continue on to Vineyard haven but we got side- tracked to lunch on the way and then enjoyed the serene beach at the lighthouse. Had to stop into some shops and ice cream in Edgartown. Before we knew it— we needed to abort plans to vineyard haven and return to oak bluffs. The power assist really helped us senior folks return effortlessly! Loved the bikes!

A Blast!!!

Rented for the entire day. Amazing way to easily see the tourist spots of the island as roads are very congested with cars and hard to find parking lots for them. Reached 32 mph!!! Teenage boys enjoyed the whole experience. Jordan was very nice, explained everything in detail.

Pedego the way to go!!

Took our teens on a tour of the island and these electric bikes are the only way to go! They were easy to handle, and were a blast for our teen boys. We were able to get around much quicker to enjoy more of the sites without breaking a sweat or getting too fatigued.
Jordan and the staff were great in spending the time to set us up right!
