Pretty Cool....not sure how many things are drawing me towards Norton at the moment but this is one of them. Easy to find, plenty of parking. This feels like a reconverted office / industrial building.
Due to the Governors regulations we had to ordered food with the meal. Both the food and beer were good. The service was good as well.

My wife and I decided to stop in on a Wednesday afternoon and check out Bog Iron. We were very excited to try some local beers and just have a relaxing afternoon.
The beers were really good. I ended up having their Burly Blonde Ale and their Bold Move. My wife ordered their One Down, which she seemed to enjoy.
Per MA COVID laws, we ordered some food. I went with the 3 pretzels which came with their Burly Blonde ale Mustard and sriracha ranch dipping sauces. My wife, who loves baked Brie, went with their baked Brie plate. The pretzels were good, hot and steaming. One downside was the sriracha ranch was ranch dressing with some squirts of sriracha on top, not blended or mixed, you had to do that yourself. It isn't a big deal, but I was a bit surprised it wasn't pre-mixed.
The baked Brie however was a bit of a let down. Usually baked Brie has a hard shell and is in the shape of a small wheel, my wife's Brie came out completely flat, looking like an omelette. We had a discussion about if it was microwaved or over cooked since it just didn't look right.
Atmosphere wise, we decided to sit outside, but passing through their indoor area, it was sparse and reminded me of a college basement. I am hoping that during non-COVID time, they have a better set up inside since Bog Iron has been around since 2013. We get that strung up Christmas lights is a look, but Bog Iron's interior space REALLY has so much potential to be a great hang out. It would be cool if they had an area where you could see them brewing, some Skeeball tables (or arcade games of some sort) or a stage for live music post-COVID. There are so many possibilities for the space.
Overall, we did like our visit, can't wait to try other things on their menu and hope to make it a regular hang out. The staff was great, very friendly and welcomed us to the area. I would recommend stopping in if you are a local or are in the area.

This very small, local brewery really knows what they are doing! I tried all seven beers that were pouring that night and enjoyed them all, which is truly saying something. My favorites were the Stinger IPA and Burly Blonde.
Bog Iron small batch brews so there's a rotating list of beers available, making every Wednesday and Saturday slightly different. Beer flights (4 4-ounce pours) were just five bucks so sample your heart out or just grab a couple pints. While you're there, be sure to fill a growler or two - you definitely won't want to wait until next time for another glass.

Big Iron Brewing is a recent addition to the Norton area. While the business centers on brewing and distribution of their wonderful beer at this time, their tasting room is open for limited hours twice per week. Patrons can drink at the bar or come in and purchase freshly filled bottles of what's on tap to take home.
There's no kitchen and the place is small, so I suggest an early visit and going out to eat somewhere either before or after.
Credit cards are accepted.
I definitely predict that Bog Iron will either expand the size and hours of their tasting room or they will open a dedicated bar in another location that can seat a lot more people.
This place is a real gem. I hope they're here to stay!

Really liked their beer from the get go, but somewhere along the line, I think they started making too many styles with too many recipes. I just didn't think they had the barrels or the capacity, but two years later and they have secured more barrels and their beer is better than ever. I specifically like their honey infused IPA, "Stinger", their chocolate stout, "Swiss Mistress" and a relatively new West Coast Style brew, "Jump Back." Everything else is pretty darned good as well. They have expanded to a tap/tasting room and to their credit, they offer samples before you buy and don't charge for them. I recently visited a micro brewery in Dennis, Ma (while on vacation) and the setup was such that they charged for samples. I think three of us dropped $30 on "tasters" before we eventually ordered. Glad that Bog Iron doesn't charge you for something you may not like or be inclined to buy. Also, the Dennis brewery was sadly underwhelming and only served to remind me what a great job the folks at Bog Iron do.

I have been to Bog Iron Brewing twice and I have been impressed both times I've gone. The place is always packed, everyone is always so friendly and the beer selection (and value) is amazing. I wish that they were open more/longer hours so I could come check them out other times. This is a great, adorable brewery that is perfect for hanging out with friends or your significant other on a Saturday afternoon and having a flight (and chex mix!).

Seems like the owners are living every beer lovers dream -- brewing hand-crafted beer and getting so good at it they can sell it. Open only two days a week -- Wednesday nights and Saturday afternoons. You can buy one of their bottles and get it filled for take out or you can sit at the bar and try a few pints. The refillable bottles are smaller than the usual 64 oz growlers, but are still about three pints worth. They have sampler 'flights' or you could just ask for a taste before you choose. All the beers I've had are small batch, fresh and tasty. A far cry from the mass-produced stuff. No food, but Wendell's is directly across the street and they encourage you to grab a few wings to go, sit in their place and have a few of their beers. Every time I go in to refill, the bar is full. They have a few tables to sit at.

The whole ethos of this place is great beer, great company and brilliant service. The guys running it have put heart and sole into ensuring the customer is welcome and valued. Serves and huge variety of beers, nitro coffee and any you can get any food delivered of your choice. The atmosphere is fantastic, usually very busy and evryone talks to each other.....fantastic, no WiFi so nobody making/receiving calls or surfing to anoy customers. Comfortable seating area and easy to find on Main Street.
