A gritty little joint with noir charm, staffed by characters straight out of a dime store novel. Unpretentious is an understatement, like your favorite girl who doesn't give a damn what she looks like when you go out together, and you like it that way....More

Great place for live music, but they’re having a laugh with the ridiculously over priced drink prices and miserable and staff. Watch a band, drink their water, then go elsewhere for a drink!

Attended my first show after many years of living in and around Northampton. The Venue has seated shows and standing shows. I attended standing in the pit area with seats surrounding in the balcony. There was a dash to get to the tables (first come...More

Great venue to get up close and personal with your favorite bands. The rest isn't so great. First, skip the food. We came early to get good seats, ordered burgers and salads. Salads were brought without any dressing and we never did get the dressing...More

I've lived near the Iron Horse for over thirty years and have attended many concerts. The music programming is terrific. But as many have written, the food, the chairs, the bathroom are an embarrassment to this once great venue. You're almost forced to buy the...More

In serious need of attention! I have lived in Northampton for 25 years and was always a big fan of the Iron Horse. It had great music acts and decent beer. Perfect for 1993. The place is now awful and needs an update. It has...More

Peter of Peter, Paul and Mary. And for those who seek potty parity? Iron Horse has it. Fun venue for close up and personal music.

It is true that the tables are packed in tight, the chairs are not super comfy, but everyone had a seat for the sold out show we attended. The casual burger fare was good for what it was, I enjoyed a southwest grilled chicken sandwich....More

We always love the performers, but the place is so very crowded, you can't get up and move around without asking people to pull in their chairs. The "handicap" bathroom is behind the kitchen, is really and employees bathroom and is filthy....really filthy. The ones...More

No. People line up outside. Most of us are used to this, and I usually volunteer to get in line early, procure a good table, and then my partner and/or friends join me when they arrive. Not everyone in the party needs to... More
