I booked the 1/2 hour hot tub and massage package for my husband and I. We were greeted warmly at the reception desk. After being given our bags with towels, robes, and slippers, we were guided to our private hot tub room. It was perfectly clean and even the shower was nice (love the large rain head showers!). After relaxing there, we went for the massages. I confess, I was a bit nervous as this was my first massage. Sam helped talk me through the whole process. Both my husband and I were repeatedly asked if the pressure needed adjustment until we were both satisfied. We walked away fully relaxed and very happy with our visit. This was a first but it won't be our last!

We come here a couple of times a year. Very, very relaxing. We tried it recently after going hiking and it soothed every sore bone, I swear. For us, the 1/2 hour stay is enough. It starts to get kind of hot after awhile.

We had a couples package, 1/2 hour in an outdoor hot tub followed by an hour massage. It was incredible! The hot tub was the perfect way to begin relaxing. The courtyard is beautiful and we were walked up to our private hot tub area to unwind. After our 30 min we put our robes on and went into the massage area. We had a wonderful full body massage. You get to pick your lotion scent and they check in with you periodically to see if the pressure they're applying is good. The massages and whole experience was excellent. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Can't wait to go back!

We have been customers at East Heaven for 20 years and have loved our experiences here over the years. The wooden outdoor hot tubs under the stars are wonderful. Our recent visit was different from years past- our hot tub wasn't really "hot"; we were rushed into and out of our tub; and the staff members that assisted us were not friendly or helpful. Very different vibe than in the past.

First, I love the hot tubs there. I have been going there on an off for 30+ years. Also, I am a wedding officiant and I recommend this place for couples looking for a break before or after their wedding. One such couple gave me a gift certificate as a tip, so I decided to get a spa treatment for the first time. I reserved for a half-hour foot massage, and I thought it was fairly straightforward. The appointment was confirmed as well when someone called me on the day prior to said appointment. I was very much looking forward to this as a birthday treat. The massage person greeted me and all seemed fine until she took me into a room and told me to get on the massage table face down. She said that people always want other body work as well and that it was odd just to want a foot massage. Also, I had told her my right knee was injured and yet she wanted me to get on the table face down. The conversation got more awkward, and she said she could just do my feet, but her energy towards me suggested it was "wrong" somehow. I am reminded of the younger generations' version of customer service that involves their needs more than the customer's. And I expect more from body practitioners. There was no "being present" for me. My acupuncturist, yoga instructors et. al. perhaps have set a standard where I expect better care. Would not recommend East Heaven for spa work but love the hot tubs.

I love this place! We've visited several times and we're never disappointed. You will relax as soon as you walk in the door, especially in the winter when they have the fireplace going and the heat turned up.
They have indoor and outdoor tubs, all very clean, well maintained, and private.
Bring your own music or choose from East Heaven's music collection for the indoor tubs. The outdoor tubs are great any time of year, but especially during the winter months when it's cold and snowy outside.
The masseuses are always very professional and great at their jobs. Josiah was my masseuse this last visit, and he is excellent!
They have an extensive menu of hot tub and massage combinations, all pretty reasonably priced. It's totally worth it, for yourself or as an awesome gift for someone.
If it's your first time and you're not sure what to book, go with the 1\2-hour tub and 1-hour massage package. Get the couple's package if you're bringing someone. Ask for the outdoor tub if it's in autumn.
I highly recommend this place! It's walking distance to the theaters, shops and restaurants in Northampton too, so you can make a night of it.

We booked a private hot tub inside.
First, staff asked us to select the background music from the "menu list". Then we were taken to the private hot tub room. The shower was in the room.
We enjoyed the hot tub very much. The temperature was just nice, but we minded chlorine-like smell of hot water a little bit, that was only regrettable.

We have used the hot tubs twice and the massage therapists once and both times were wonderful. The place can get busy on a cold night, but they keep the vibe calm, the tubs clean and the groups on time. A great way to spend time with family; no electronics, just relaxing and talking. Easy to make reservations. The massages where honestly the best I have ever had even better than my regular therapist. Great place to come when you are visiting your daughter at Smith.

Have been to East Heaven several times for both hot tub, and massages. Very clean, very nice facility all around. Have had many good massages from various masseuses and never a bad one yet.

Only complaint I have ever had is the one time the female masseuse had longer armpit hair than I do. I know this may be non PC but I couldn't get it out of my mind during the massage. Should be required to wear something to cover it IMO.

One of the great sensations of going to Japan is to take a bath in a Japanese hot tub. It's a sensual experience that is hard to duplicate anywhere in the US.

But then my partner took me to East Heaven -- which has been there for decades, and I have to say I felt like I was transported to Kyoto -- the experience is that good!

I would recommend the 1 hour bath in the rooftop environment -- no matter what time of the year -- this has to be the best way to experience this place!
