Quarantined for fourteen days before leaving to fetch our kids at camp in Vermont we were so excited to enjoy a "Picnic for Four" delivered to our home. We had stopped visiting the grocery store and were wanting our staycation to have a little romance and zest. The two of us celebrated with the picnic lunch that was delivered to our front porch and then- the next day's breakfast AND lunch on the road, and then had a third lunch up in Vermont- all with the generous abundance of our picnic basket for four. We loved the variety and flavor of our assortment and appreciated the quick delivery and beautiful presentation. Thank you for making a chaotic and challenging time feel festive and fun.

The Northampton Local Food Tour with guides Deborah and Davis was beyond incredible — the highlight of my month! It exceeded our expectations and I would recommend this experience to anyone who enjoys tasting a variety of delicious, fresh foods while learning fascinating information at the same time! This is an excellent activity for those who want to get outside, explore, and learn while social distancing. We visited a number of local spots and everything we tasted (food/drink) was absolutely mouthwatering and unique. I loved learning about the history of Northampton and the Pioneer Valley region, as well as the area’s focus on sustainable agriculture. Through our tour we experienced the way that the people of the Northampton community support local business and sustainable agricultural practices, which has created a wonderful community with incredibly fresh foods. Moreover, Deborah went above and beyond to make this a wonderful experience. She answered my many questions and provided additional information via email, and when I asked for a recommendation for ingredients for a recipe, Deborah suggested a delicious and unique local product. Deborah and Davis are highly knowledgeable about food, food science and more, and were eager to answer our questions — spending the afternoon learning from them was such a treat! We are already planning to attend a bike tour event as well!

Deborah is a fantastic guide to the food and history of the Connecticut River Valley. She is a warm and welcoming host who is also very knowledgeable about food, cooking, and culture. Even though I have lived in the area for more than two decades, I learned so much about the restaurants, shops, and products this area has to offer. I will definitely be visiting many of the places we spoke about and stopped at. I highly recommend this to both locals and visitors - it would be a great introduction to the area for new arrivals!

My husband and I spent a morning touring Northampton’s food hot spots with Deborah. She was extremely knowledgeable about the food, restaurants and their owners and the history of food in the Pioneer Valley. We enjoyed stopping and learning the history of the murals, buildings and architecture as or tour proceeded as well. Deborah choose food and locations that were gluten free (for me) and balanced it perfectly with non gluten free options for my husband. The food and drinks did not disappoint.

I can’t begin to say how lovely our tour was. Deb took us to places we would have never gone too. She was a wealth of knowledge, whether about farming in the area, history or the building we were going into or the proprietor of the shops we visited. It was enlightening and delicious. We are local to western Mass so Northampton isn’t a place we had never been. We were all three delighted and recommend this culinary walking tour (or any Deborah might do) to anyone looking for a nice afternoon trying new places!! I gave this as a gift to my two friends and we made some great memories! Looking forward to whatever Deborah organizes next.

This was a really lovely tour, highly recommend! We recently moved to this area so had some familiarity already, but Deborah absolutely found surprises for us along the way. My husband and I attended with my parents, who are not local, and we all had a great time. The food was delightful and, trust, you will be full by the end. Deborah put her personal touch on it all, telling us both historic and personal anecdotes about Northampton and incorporating pieces of what she had learned about us into her tour. She's incredibly knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend an afternoon with.

Deborah helped to organize a private walking food tour of Springfield for myself and my partner. Though the day was hot, we persevered and (having not spent much time in Springfield before) often found ourselves saying "We have to come back here!" Whether you are a foodie, a fan of the Pioneer Valley, or just looking to get to know the area better, I would highly recommend a tour with Deborah. Her excitement and appreciation of the community is evident (and infectious). We appreciated her flexibility to research not only the restaurants, but also the surrounding architecture and history of other landmarks, of an area that she has not previously based a tour out of. We would highly recommend a tour with Deborah and will probably join her again for a tour in the future!

We took our 2 grandchildren, ages 12 and 14 on this tour as a holiday gift. Along with us, both children are foodies. It was a wonderful and informative way to enjoy a morning together. Not only did we enjoy many delicious and filling samples of food in Northampton, we learned so much about the local resources the Pioneer Valley offers. Deborah is a delightful guide and local person who is well informed about the food scene in the area. She greets with a bag of goodies, which is a very welcoming touch. I would highly recommend this tour for visitors as well as locals.

My wife and I had a lovely tour with Deborah this week. It was thoroughly enjoyable. The food was excellent and her telling of the history of food and food products in the Pioneer Valley was compelling. Deborah is warm, curious, and engaging and was a total delight as our tour guide. We are looking forward to returning sometime soon. We recommend Deborah and Pioneer Valley Food Tours highly.

We had a wonderful time on the food tour tasting local treats all while learning about the history of Northampton and the surrounding area. Deborah is a very kind and knowledgable tour guide. The weather was perfect so we got to eat outside in the sunshine, making it feel very safe during these times.
