We ended up hiking only a small part of the trail close to the summit of Mt Graylock, but just like the other parts of the trail we have hiked, the hiking is strenuous, but the views are spectacular.

During summer we often see hikers on and off the amazing Appalachian Trail. It is a major accomplishment to walk it from end to end but nothing could be more rewarding or beautiful than to be one with nature.

We were lucky to be able to take a short hike on the Appalachian Trail starting at the 100 mile wilderness trail-head on Route 15, somewhat outside of Monson, Maine. Gorgeous scenery ! Nice trail.
