Such a lovely spot to spend some time! We just sat on the rocks and soaked up some sun. But others were wading and swimming.

We got directions from two different people, neither of which brought us to the Falls, but we finally figured it out and it was so worth getting lost to get here. It is part of a 5-acre New Marlborough town park that has swings, a...More

The Falls were about 1.5 miles from the house we had rented. It was a nice walk along the river and a pleasant diversion. Make sure you wear slip resistant shoes!

There is no sign! You turn where the bridge closed sign is and park. Walk over the bridge, take a right, and then another to the park area. The falls are still not visible but you can hear them off to your left. This is...More

We heard a lot about the falls at Umpachene Park and decided to take the drive. Driving close to our destination, we found detour signs that the bridge was closed. Even though we followed the detour signs, we kept going in circles. We came across...More

The falls were beautiful and would be amazing in the spring. Despite hot temperatures, the shade of the woods made the area very pleasant.

While staying in the Berkshires, my husband and I came upon Umapchene Falls Park. While it was too cool to swim, we did enjoy a nice picnic lunch sitting on the rocks watching the water cascade over the rocks. It was somewhat hard to find,...More

Not hard to find. Well marked. Drive up, park, walk about 100 yards, and you're rewarded with a tall, highly scenic rock falls that you can swim in at the basin. Totally deserted. Picnic area. Shade. No fee. Worth finding.

There is a small-ish parking area on Umpachene Falls Road (notice the CORRECT spelling for the Falls), and another area to park downstream next to the bridge over the Konkapot River. The road here is actually closed, due to... More
