I had heard Rocky Woods had boat rentals however their official website had no mention of this so I emailed the address on their website to inquire. Two days later and no response. I decided to make a trip with my son and when we got there they indeed had boats! Problem this time was the ranger left a sign saying they would be back in an hour. We didn't have an hour to wait so I left a note asking them to call my cell when they got back so I could ensure a better time to return. Two days later now and no phone call. Guess they don't want our money. P.S. The email was finally returned as undeliverable due to connection time outs with the recipient's email server. Lovely.

My husband and I were there on Sunday, November 27, 2016. It is a great place to bring your family for a family walk in the woods. There are also nice picnic areas if you chose to have a picnic. We stayed along the outside of the park itself and walked close to 5 miles. The trails are all very well marked and there are maps at each trail head. You can choose how long you want to hike for. Dogs are allowed on some of the trails, not all. There is a $5.00 parking fee if you are not a member of the Trustees

While I am totally at a loss to rationalize a rating of 4 rather than a 3 or a 5, nevertheless Rocky Woods is a great place to burn off calories on a lazy Sunday afternoon in the fall or winter. It's easy to get to, not crowded, and readily navigable with "average" as well as more challenging trails.

Beautiful trails for walking. Wish trails were better marked. Too bad Trustees don't believe in maximizing outdoor use. It was awesome decades ago when they allowed skating. Can't understand why they think skating and developing community spirit is a bad thing

I love walking in Rocky Woods however I wish they did not take the swimming area away from the dogs. The new swimming hole allocated for dogs is a very muddy area. The big body of water up by the parking area was always a wonderful place for dogs to meet and swim. Other than that one issue… I find Rocky Woods to be a wonderful place to meet and greet other people and it is well-maintained
