Our first night in Massachusetts and we were told by some locals to go see Ned's Point Light House. We weren't disappointed. It was beautiful. We went there especially to see the sun setting. My 15 year d climbed on the rocks and my 17 year old took lots of beautiful pictures. It was a great place to unwind after... More

Ned's Point is a beautiful part of Mattapoisett with a nice little beach and a large lawn to play on or have a picnic. Sometimes the lighthouse is open and you can walk up into it. Perfect place to watch sunrise!

Driving around town looking for a local swimming hole - and found Ned's. This is a cool spot with a large parking lot. It appears that there is a nice beach within a short walk.

The whole town of Mattapoisett is spectacular and Ned's Point Lighthouse is gorgeous. There is a large grassy area where people picnic, play and fly kites. There is a small beach that does not require a Mattapoisett Town sticker. There is a large shade shed people use for picnics as well. There are clean public restrooms. Sometimes the Lighthouse is... Lovely ocean view with ample parking. We saw a wedding party taking pictures. A nice photogenic spot on the ocean.

Sometimes you can watch the sailboats, sometimes it's just a calm meditative ocean, but always pleasant. One year I even visited when the lighthouse was open for tours!! For five generations, my family has enjoyed Ned's Point light.

I have grown up in Mattapoisett and love our town. I am especially proud of the Ned's Pt. Veteran's Park. This past Sunday I was able to take a photo with my Grandchildren on the Stone wall at the Veteran's Park. My Dad and my Grandfather built this wall. Many families enjoy this park. There are picnic tables. A grassy... More

This is a beautiful lighthouse and grass area, with restrooms and a small beach. I got married here last year, and it was absolutely perfect. They do not allow tents or any kind of structures, so beware of that if you do go here. However, it is definitely one of my favorite spots to just hang out in the area.

This is a nice place to have a lunch in your car or on the rocks or grass. Beautiful sunsets/sunrises. In winter peaceful by the water to read a book. The summer you can watch the windsurfers.
