The Reservation is sprawling and quiet and the views for the Crane Estate that overlooks the marsh are fantastic. We visited in the winter and can only imagine the view during the growing season or close to sunset.

Only a mile of trails but this location is scenic and worth a visit. I did a short run here, enjoyed the mix of open fields and woods. You can see some history of the area with stonewalls on the wooded island.

One of my favorite open space areas in Ipswich. This former coastal farmland operated by the The Trustees of Reservations, is an open space to a broad salt marsh and a dike path that leads to a loop trail around Eagle Island. The back side of the island overlooks extensive open marsh, drained by Labor-in-Vain Creek.

The Hamlin reservation is a underutilized spot for nature walks. Would be a great spot for couples. Too bad they don't allow pets. I knew Mrs Hamlin and she adored my black lab Paquita. Always had treats and a ball or stick to fetch!

Well maintained trails with easy access off major roadway. Enjoyable to visit in any season.
