We went a few weeks ago and loved doing this for our 6 year old daughter. I booked it last minute on a whim on our last day and was worth every penny.
My daughter was impatient about catching fish but once she did then she was all about it and didn't want to stop. She kept telling everyone the best part of vacation was her fishing boat ride.
You can bring your own bag with snacks and waters.
Time is plenty!
I am not fishing kind of person but I would so do this again next time we visit the Cape!
Both gentlemen working were amazing and patient with my daughter.
Thank you again for a wonderful time!
**yes, only 6 allowed for guest during covid. And we were only ones besides the workers**

The whole experience was pleasant as the crew was very patient and helpful with my 6yo and 4yo boys. Like my title says, this couldn’t be more kid friendly even for a 43 year old kid like myself! The prices are very reasonable and you get a chance to reel in 3 foot sharks. Believe me - I was like a kid all over again when I reeled in my first ever shark! Crew is amazing with the kids, encouraging and safety is a priority. Be sure to leave a bit early as you’ll have to park about a quarter mile away.

We had a lot of fun on this trip. The crew was helpful and attentive. They made sure everyone's fishing poles were set to try and catch fit. They also made sure that everyone maintained safety with their fishing equipment and made sure all the kids experienced the fish kept. They also maintained safety, like keeping the crab caught off the boat and holding the fish with teeth by the head so no one got hurt. This is a catch and release tour.
Families are encouraged bring their own beverages and snacks.
Also the free parking is an easy 1/4 mile walk. Make sure that you plan ahead of time to make the walk and get there in time. There is no to limited parking at the dock. Make sure you read the email that they send you to have all of the information regarding boarding.

This 90 minute fishing excursion was the perfect amount of time for family fun. The 12 guest maximum made the experience more personal. Everyone caught at least one fish. John and Kelly made sure we all stayed safe by sitting down when the boat was moving and keeping our fishing hooks on the ocean side of the railing. They patiently made sure we were able to work the fishing rods, attached bait and detached the fish for us. The children were so excited to catch small sea bass and sand sharks, then release them back into the water.

Was able to go in the afternoon since we had group, which they currently max out at six people. At $30/per person, it's not terribly expensive. You can park on the pier if there is a spot available, but the site will suggest parking at an off site lot about a quarter mile away. It's good for kids since the boat doesn't go that far, we were fishing near Kalmus Beach, so two hours was enough time to fish and then have dinner.

90 minute fishing trip where they set up the rods and go to a pretty much guaranteed spot for a kid to catch a fish. Kids 10 and 7 LOVED it - first fishing trip. It was a highlight of their trip.

My husband and I took our 8 and 6.5 year old out fishing with Ron and Don of Kids Fishing. So much fun! 90 mins is a perfect amount of time. My kids thought it was fun to reel in the fish, and the water was calm. Highly recommend.

We just arrived to our fishing trip (which was a Father’s Day present) to find a handwritten sign that said CLOSED. We found the owner across the street who said it was cancelled because of the car show being held on Main Street. He said he sent us an email Friday when he realized and refunded us.. however we never received either. Neither did the other family. The other family came quite the distance too. Later in the conversation he said he would issue the refund as soon as he got back to the office.. he didn’t have an answer when I called him out on his inconsistent story.
I wouldn’t be leaving this review if it wasn’t for his unapologetic attitude. He didn’t offer any solutions except a barely believable apology.
It’s hard to not be furious when your children are disappointed and crying. His solution of “book a tour next weekend” isn’t what a good business person would do.
What a good business person would do is make us feel like they were sorry for their mistake and offer to make it right. While this guy didn’t the woman who works next door did. She heard what was going on and gave us coupons for their tours. Guess what.. we’re booking with them!

I've been looking for a salt water fishing trip with my 7-year-old and recently saw the brochure at a tourist site. Since he is new to fishing and was nervous about waves and getting sea sick, I was looking for something kid focused and a chance to catch fish. He was excited to see we would be going on a DUCK like tour boat! I purchased tickets easily online and arrived early for the 9 am fishing trip. Parking and check in was easy and the staff was very friendly (Rose M).
you board the boat/duck in the back and it's a quick 5-minute ride to the harbor where you splash down head to a spot in the harbor, where you anchor and use bait to catch small fish like Scup, Sea Bass and Sea Robins, and Sand Sharks! I was surprised that the boat/duck was so stable, and the ride out was comfortable!
Overall the staff was great helping kids catch and show off the different fish that were caught. And most important my son LOVED it and wants to go back again! We were lucky as the Owner piloted the boat and was very happy to see the kids catch fish.
some tips.
(buy the 9 am trip and save $5.00)
the trip is only about 90 minutes SO you only get about 60 minutes of fishing time.
the idea is to catch fish, NOT catch monster fish. So if you are looking to catch that 50lb fish go elsewhere, as this was about keeping kids busy catching little fish like scup and sea bass.go mid week as weekends get busy! bring snacks and make sure they use the bathroom before hand! bring an old towel to help hold the fish.

Definitely. My boys were 2 and 4 when we went last summer and both really enjoyed it.
