Nice street to walk, shop and eat

Main St Hyannis is a nice street that offers great shopping, eating and strolling. We enjoyed our day trip.

I was quite surprised at how boring this main street is. the shops are not good at all and there are few restaurants.

Main Street was an OK place to stroll around with lots of restaurants, bars, and shops - but quite touristy so keep that in mind. Was an easy walk from one end to the other and back as the area is just a few blocks long. Also an easy walk down to the harbor and hotels/motels there. The JFK Museum... More

Main St. Hyannis has a plethora of shops for whatever your interest. The restaurants are amazing. And, don't forget the JFK museum! This is all within walking distance. People come from all over to visit Hyannis and they add an interesting mix to this quaint town. If you are traveling with kids, there's an arcade to entertain them while the... More

Came to Hyannis on a bus tour out of Boston. Main street is where most of the tourist shops, restaurants and bars in Hyannis are located. As we came in the fall, the place was not very busy, and it was pleasant walking down the street and window shopping. Sadly, a few of the shops were closed for the season,... More

We come to Hyannis once a year and always stay at the Courtyard Resort on Main St. We love strolling along and sampling all of the many wonderful shops and restaurants. We usually go in the Spring but last year and this year we came in October. It's off season so it's not really crowded and mostly everything is still... More

Main Street Hyannis has a mix of history, nostalgia, shopping and tourist fare. John F. Kennedy Museum and statue make a centerpiece for other statues, church steeples, Duckmobiles and opportunities for Cape Cod souvenir purchases.

I always make a b-line for record stores wherever I visit and Spinnaker was a good one - loads of new and used records, t-shirts, posters, toys, fabulous place. Best selection of official and unofficial Smiths records I've seen in the US so far. Grabbed a couple, and some Motorhead guitar picks. There's some nice shops along Main Street too,... More

Main Street Hyannis has a lot of variety in just a few blocks. You can shop for clothes, jewelry or souvenirs. You can visit the JFK museum, treat the kids to ice cream or have lunch at a sidewalk cafe. You can find everything from Ace Hardware and Cooks Supply to Cape Cod sweatshirts. You can even stay at one... More
