Walking down Main Street Hyannis is like walking down any small town main drag. Other than the JFK Museum there's nothing special. Though it was very clean and well kept. The Visitor's Center is housed in a Cupcake Shopa which made it hard to find for us. If not for the advice of a cabby and a local resident we... More

The town is a real old time New England village. Most of the stores and shops are privately owned and free from large corporate "suits" mandating certain rules and regulations. "Walking" main street in the evenings is one of our favorite things to do. There are so many great restaurants here, there is no need to go to the big... More

While we have visited more than once, my favorite time to hit Main Street is the Fathers Day car show. The street is pedestrians only and the shopping and food options are great and signatures of the Cape Cod experience

Okay variety of independent shops and eateries but it just lacked ‘something’. It just felt like a town catering to the New England autumn tourists. Mediocre restaurants and kitschy places. It was strangely quiet when we visited and we really expected abit more vibrancy and also more unique shops and attractions. Maybe some local cultural experience or even live music... More

I strolled up & down both sides of Main Street on a lovely Fall day. An eclectic mix of shops / bars / pubs / restaurants / park / businesses / government offices / library / church / JFK Museum / Cape Cod Baseball League Hall of Fame / Convenient free parking this time of year.

Variety of shops and restaurants along Main Street. Easy walk in and out of places. Well situated and easy to get to and park along the street.
