We didn't plan to spend an entire day just exploring main street, but we could have. There were so many cute little shops and interesting restaurants. There were also museums and libraries and cool places to go in and explore. Plus art everywhere! Find a...More

If traveling with family with small or large children, be sure to browse the shops and eateries on Main Street. Take a ride on the old town carousel and play in the arcade. Wonderful spot!

There's a good variety of restaurants and shops on main street. Clearly all targeting the tourist crowd, but that's ok when done well. We found a few nice artist studios / crafts on and just off main street - worth a look. If you're looking...More

There was a lot on offer with varying types of shops, restaurants and cafes. Also of course the JFK museum, easy walk to the harbour.

Main Street in Hyannis is where the Old Town meets modern day. Restaurants run the gamut from traditional American eateries to British style pubs, ethnic favourites and traditional franchises. A wonderful compliment to the seaside life of Hyannis, Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. Indulge...More

Many of the shops and restaurants are open this time of year on Hyannis Main Street. The JFK Hyannis Museum is also open, as is the Cape Cod Maritime Museum, and the Zion Museum on North Street.

Inexpensive Hyannis hotel (0 Replies)
Looking for an inexpensive hotel to add a night or two (for Monday and possibly Tuesday) to my Cape trip. something in the Main Street Hyannis- Rt 28 West Yarmouth area would be preferable. Only use the room to sleep so bare bones is OK. The weather will determine the trip duration. Any suggestions?
