Catboat Rides offers fun and affordable sailboat excursions and charters in Hyannis, MA. Our boat, the 'Eventide', is a Catboat class of sloop rigged sailboat, an authentic traditional local design. She is 34 feet long, has a wide 10 foot beam and a mast 38 feet tall, assuring a steady, smooth, and comfortable ride. We get much closer to coastal attractions than other Hyannis excursion boats. We have a well stocked bar and galley onboard. Our dock is at 146 Ocean St. Hyannis, Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Follow ferry signs to Hy-Line Ocean Street Dock(Not South Street Dock!) Turn left into metered parking lot immediately after 2 large signs for Hyannis Harbor Cruises and Spanky's Clam Shack Restaurant (across from Hyannis Holiday Motel).

Sailed on the Cat boat, an 1930ish wooden sail boat. Captain Marcus Sherman was a skilled sailor, shouting out warnings if crossing wakes of larger boats, answering questions anyone may have had. 1st Mate Jen was very knowledgeable, worked the sails quickly with skill, and...More

The very recognizable sail is easy to find and there is plenty of room to come with a family or larger party. You can purchase drinks and I think they might even let you bring a small dog if you call and ask. Friendly and...More

I have been on several sunset cruises, but this trip was the most enjoyable. Captain Marcus and his helper, Jen, were awesome to sail with. They both answered all questions asked and pointed out several points of interest along our cruise. Most sunset cruises put...More

The captain and his helper are very friendly and the trip was excellent. They even let my 6 year old drive the boat by himself. Would recommend it over the bigger boat trips.

Captain Marcus and First Mate Jen are very experienced sailors. This is a lovely sailing experience for all ages and types in light wind, which is what we had yesterday. The captain is technically so skilled that he can sail up wind out of the...More

We took the afternoon Catboat, which was supposed to go to see the Kennedy houses. We were delighted that Captain Marcus decided to honor a nice windy day by sailing us where the wind took us. It was OUTSTANDING!! The Catboat is small enough to...More

A very enjoyable, relaxing sailing trip to Lewis Bay (and sometimes to Nantucket Sound) on a classic wooden catboat. No ads, no sales pitches; just a quiet, enjoyable voyage to see the Cape as generations of sailors and fishermen did: from the water. You'll remember...More
