Enjoyed a wonderful 4 hour porgy and black sea bass trip in late July. Capt. Steve and his mates were jovial and helpful to anglers of all experience levels. Great experience to be out on Nantucket Sound, tour/guidance and rod included for $75. Well worth it!! I look forward to going out on one of their other boats for tuna, bluefish, or fluke!

200+ Porgy and Sea Bass - and that was just us! 5 people, 6/15/23! Captain Steve - Wow! Mates Andrew and Harry were great. We were on the Nantucket Sound (ship name) and we left at 2pm to fish in the Nantucket Sound. Non stop action. We rented their reels for an additional $5 each - decent equipment, and the Captain explained how to use them. Even a newbie among us had a great time. Returned back to Hyannis Port at 8pm. Free parking right near the boat. Terrific!

I want to thank the Captain of the Helen H for a fantastic fishing trip. This was a four hour Sea Bass, Porgy trip. Even though most of the fishermen were novices, he treated us like "regulars", travelling the extra time to take us to where the keepers were. We (a senior citizen and two 16 year olds) had non stop bites and kept more than 10 pounds of fish fillets. We threw back a lot of keepers. As a person who has fished on a lot of party boats, I know the difference between a fisherman's captain and a "tourist" captain and this captain definitely was a fisherman's captain. Thank you again for an amazing experience

These folks were great. My 16yo Daughter and I went out for the 4 hour afternoon bottom fishing. We got postponed a day due to weather, but they were fantastic about calling and rescheduling. The boat was comfortable. The crew was super helpful when needed and otherwise stayed away and let you do your thing. We caught a ton of fish - brought enough home for dinner and generally had a great time. They even cleaned the fish for us.

OMG! What a blast. I took my 12 y/o daughter and had the best time fishing for porgies and black seabass. We had a lot of adventures trying to get out of the house this summer and this trip definitely scored #1 on our must-do-again list. We caught so many fish I lost count. The crew were amazing and helpful with everything from navigating the parking lot, to helping with tangles, cleaning the fish, answering questions. The fellas next to us were a hoot and everyone was just having a good time. Low key and family friendly, bring extra clothes as it gets cool on the water, plus a cooler for snacks (and to tote back all the fish you're going to catch)!

I am so appalled by my experience with this place perhaps it's best summarized step by step below:
1. We reserved a half day trip on a boat for six and informed there were two kids in our party;
2. We all showed up excited for the 8 am departure the day of;
3. Forty minutes later the captain showed up- no apologies but we said not a word about it to him;
4. Ready to go and captain casually mentions bathroom is broken;
5. We ask that kids and adults alike in our party use a bathroom before we depart; for the for hour adventure;
6. As we are on the way to the facilities captain screams he doesn't make enough money on this trip (?) to deal with tourists and trip is off - he will go have breakfast with his wife (?);
7. We ask what it was we did/said that upset him? Response- silence.
8. We ask if he thinks his behavior is professional? He replies no he doesn't this so.
9. We walk to the office bewildered relaying the story and asking for a refund;
10. Swift refund;
11. We ask if they think it's ok and whether we can get an apology. That's all we really wanted from
That place and that point. Response - the office person we are speaking with states she was not there. We are aware she already spoke with the captain as she mentions the bathroom issue before we do.
Ok. Phew.
Not to mention- ruined much anticipated morning, money spent on a rented car and lack of other simple organizational detail all along. I will absolutely buy gift cards from them to gift to those I particularly don't like :-) maybe :-) but no wait - these people don't deserve my business - which by the way would be repetitive!

Purchased the Four-Hour Sea-Bass- and Fluke-Fishing Trip Including Gear from Groupon. Arrived and when we asked about the "Gear", we were told extremely rudely, that means bait. Now I have fished with this company in the past and the gear was always poles, apparently this year they decided it means only bait. So we paid the fee and headed aboard the boat. In the past, we headed out for about an hour, fished for 2 hours, and then headed back. Not today, we headed out ~30min and dropped anchor. It was at this point we were told that we were fishing for Scup because the Sea Bass were further out, RIP OFF. We were in ~25' of water. Don't get me wrong, we caught plenty of Scup, but not what we were sold. For this, I could have just gone fishing for Sunfish in the local pond and saved all the money. The crew on the boat were extremely pleasant and helpful to anyone that needed assistance. Maybe the woman behind the counter could take some lessons from these guys on how to speak to and treat customers. I can say that we will not be returning to the Helen H and would suggest that you look elsewhere.

We took Helen h and used the groupon for our family of four.
They were fishing for Scup and sea bass. Very few caught sea-bass but lots of scup.
The mate who preps your fish to take home told me he would charge you $1.50 a fish to clean and fillet but since we caught so many it would be $1 each . They also take some of your smaller fish for themselves and they mix all the pails up so who knows if your getting the larger fish or not. When I went to pay he then turned around and said its not $1 I have to pay $1.50. We paid $30 cash for our fish. I was not impressed and never charged this high to take fish home on top of the fee for the trip. Most just ask you to tip them .
We made sure our two black sea bass they did not take for themselves as those were a hard to catch fish on this trip.
Some of the guys walked around and helped take fish off hook but most times on your own. We had a good time but daughter got bored after awhile.
Boats should of been cleaned better as seats had slime bait on them.
We were given our rods for the trip with no additional fee as the other poster said they got charged extra.
They had buckets at end for tips but sorry they got their tip in up charging for what they quoted me.
Staff could be friendlier
Also you can bring your own beer on the trip we didn't as thought it was available for purchase but it was not,
Suggest bringing your own gloves to take fish off and sanitary wipes
All they had to clean was a garden hose hanging off the deck

Bought the 4 hour Sea Bass and Fluke deep sea fishing for two groupon. Upon arrival we learned that we were not going out for Sea Bass and Fluke. We were told that that was only the 8 hour trip. We were told we will be going out for Scup, which is basically the pumpkin seed of the ocean. We did have some fun but I could have went to my local pond for that experience. So I feel this was false advertisement and a let down since this was suppose to be my first deep sea fishing experience.

I booked a last minute trip to go fishing on the Helen with my family.
Got there, and I see no other young kids around. Mostly seasoned fishermen and a few other adults. Where are all the people and kids?
Getting on the boat, they said, get your own rods. Here's some bait. Ok we're off..
I must admit I was a bit worried.
But turns out this was the best fishing expedition of my trip.
When we stopped for our first time, the mates came out and showed and asked kids how to bait and drop the line.
Those experienced fishermen came by and talked to me and the kids. Very friendly. Giving us tips, encouraging, and just goofing around.
The boat wasn't packed which was a delight.
We must have caught about 10 fish each. Was amazing.
I would recommend the Helen to anyone, families too.
