No longer here
Aug 2018 • Solo
Visited today to see the JFK Museum and Cape League Baseball Museum as I have done several times in the past and was sad to find out the Cape League Museum is no longer here and has yet to find a new home. Lady said it hasn't been here for three years which I find hard to believe since I am pretty sure I visited it last year or the year before, but regardless -- it is in limbo and the exhibits are in storage somewhere.

Cape Cod League - the road to the Majors
Jul 2018 • Friends
The Cape Cod Baseball League has a Hall of Fame in the lower level of the JFK Museum in Hyannis. A great take if you’re a baseball fan. The Cape League dates back to 1895 (older than the American League) and today is the most prestigious Summer college league in America. One in 6 MLB players are Cape League alumni. Chris Sale, Aaron Judge, Buster Posey and many more. Cape League games are great - and cheap - and the museum gives you a great sense of the history.

Batter-Up

Great rainy day activity. Learn surprising facts about the league and the players who went onto to the big leagues. Gift shop employees are also a good source of information about their town. Good a great recommendation for lunch from them.

If you are a baseball buff

Lots to read and look at in cases. Not sure the younger player will have "fun" mostly for people that know stats. Downstairs from JFK Museum. Plenty of parking in rear of museum. Gift shop up.

Lots of stuff to see

We were in the building to see the JFK Hyannis Museum, and the Cape League Hall of Fame is in the basement.

It's beautifully maintained and has a bunch of stuff to see.

The Cape League has more alumni in the major leagues than any other league (or so they say.) I understand it's the premier summer league for Amateurs (College players.)

This museum is in the same building as the JFK museum and admission is included.

Many of today's major league baseball players come from this summer program for college students aspiring to be professional ball players. The students stay at local homes and work in the community. The games are exciting and well played. Just imagine seeing someone playing ball in the summer and them seeing them on a major league ball field.Lots of photos and stats. Good Time!

Great baseball museum
Oct 2016 • Friends
Fan of cape cod baseball and this lets you know how good the league is. You can see how many college players have gone on to have outstanding careers in baseball. The 2016 World Series has a large group if graduates of the league. Worth the visit! You can also see JFK museum up stairs which was OK. Mostly Kennedy family photos. It is downtown Hyannis so expect traffic especially in the summer. If you visit the cape in the summer make sure you see a baseball game. Great family outing.

Consider it a bonus

Although this is the last year it will be there, it was worth the effort to go downstairs from the JFK Museum and see the Hall of Fame. Amazing number of pro players played in this league.
