A short walk from the JFK memorial is the veterans memorial. It was was a peaceful location and a beautiful view of the harbor. Good for a time of remembrance and meditation.

The part has a tribute to the Korean war and JFK all within a lovely groomed park. There is a beach, restrooms, picnic area and playground,

Another late afternoon at the beach, we parked close to the sand, took out our chairs and went onto the beach area. The view was peaceful, spent about 1.5 hrs there.

There is no parking fee at the park all year long. (as of our last visit)
