If you can overlook the tremendous amount of graffiti (and it’s everywhere) - I can’t believe how bad it was - but I guess it’s hard to stop people who don’t value history. The view was amazing, cool walking through u the old rooms and chambers. The tower is cool (wish we could have gone up- but I’m sure it’s not safe anymore). The lack of signs explaining the history and showing old pictures was very disappointing. Only sign around explained the names of the Brewster islands you were overlooking.

The fort is in poor condition as vandals have managed to cover the walls with graffiti. Officials have painted the entire outside of the fort walls with a gray paint. There are several tunnels in the fort and a couple of staircases but the actual guts of anything resembling a fort are gone. i went there to take photographs. There is a nice view of the harbor.
