The water is usually a little warmer than the ocean because it is a harbor beach. The only draw back is that unless you are a sun worshiper you have to plan your time there on the tides. If you want to swim there it...More

And that’s about it. Come at high tide or the raft will be beached. Small but they don keep clean and have lifeguard for the little ones, Nantasket is a much better bigger beach at 10 min away but this one is so convenient

Fake beach sand, and muddy water. If you do visit, make sure it's at high tide. There was also lots of sea grass floating around, and sticking to my body.

Nothing but rocks to walk on. Came here quite frequently. No more beach. No more visits. And no more ice cream.

Mid to high tide this is a lovely, clean, quiet beach area. The town has made some great improvements to the sand dunes and adding vegetation. There are lifeguards, and bathrooms. A snack bar is planned but for now food options are a short walk...More

We were here in early October. The beach season is technically over, but the weather has been warm, so it was pleasant to just sit by the beach, watching people take their boats in and out of the water. It felt peaceful, even though we...More

If you are in Hingham and short on time, hit the bathing beach at high tide. There is a lot going on. There is a raft to swim out to, free parking and access to paddle board and kayak rentals.
