Lovely, clean beach

Nice clean beach with soft sand . Also clean rest rooms. No shade so bring a beach umbrella but be forewarned it can be fairly windy.

Make sure you get a beach parking permit beforehand or make sure you're white.

Town hall employees are not very helpful if you're not.

Gave me the runaround to get a parking permit and told to stand outside the town hall for 15 minutes before getting someone to ask for me. They did not even ask me when I was standing at the door, but asked the white lady behind me if she needed help.

I don't think they are used to seeing anyone that's not pale.

Best Beach on Cape Cod
Jul 2019
Shhh.....don't tell anyone, but Bank Street Beach literally has everything you'd want in a public beach, and that's mainly because it doesn't feel like a public beach. It's a smaller sized parking lot, but has restrooms and even an Ice Cream Truck.

Mostly however, its warm sands are soft under your feet, and the location on the Nantucket Sound, makes the water the perfect place to swim. It's not the open Atlantic, so the waves and under toe are safe for kids, but it's not as warm as Cape Cod Bay, which can actually be too warm. It's just perfect!

Best Beach for Us for 40 Years
Sep 2018 • Couples
I see a Minnesota visitor didn’t want to follow Harwich beach rules and get a sticker, so was upset when receiving a $50 ticket. There are other beaches so do not come here unless after hours or past Labor Day. I have been coming to Harwich Port and Bank Street Beach for over 40 years, and praise the convenience, cleanliness, modest amenities and of course, beauty. We love the town’s restaurants such as the Cape Sea Grille and the Hot Stove Saloon (great clam chowder and fried clams with bellies). A day visitor may not like the beach restrictions, but for us, staying here (as my ancestors did back to the 17th c.) is perfect!

Nice Beach

Even though we were at Bank Beach in February it was still a beautiful walk by the ocean. Off season it is free to park but a permit is needed during season. I found a lot of shells even though they are all alike.

Very nice beach with public parking and seasonal rest rooms. In season a parking sticker is required from the town of Harwich but off season no sticker is needed. The beach is clean and the sand is beautiful. Dunes and grass back up the beach before the parking lot. Bank Street beach is located close to Whychmere Harbor and it's a perfect spot for watching amazing boats coming and going from the harbor as well as walking on the long jetty beside the harbor or fishib from the jetty. It is also a great place to walk from Whychmere Harbor on the left facing the ocean to Allen's Harbor many beaches away to the right.

Pretty beach with decent parking and a rest room. You need a beach sticker to visit in season. I don't have a sticker so I've only visited off season and find it a lovely place. Sadly bathroom only open in season but there's a Cumberland Farms nearby

Lovely beach
Sep 2018 • Couples
We visit this beach while staying in Harwich. It's lovely and very clean, and in the off-season it is very quiet. There are public restrooms, a water spigot for rinsing sand off your feet, and a small free library at the entrance if you're in search of a beach read. It's a great beach to walk and to observe the local wildlife such as seals and birds. I love coming here for sunrise and sunset.

Nice local, small and private beach

This beach off Bank Street has easy access, great sand, dunes and dune grasses, keeping sand in the air to a minimum. Nice waters, little warmer than in most areas on this side of the Cape. Love it!

Beautiful beach

Has easy access from the parking lot on a log wood plank to the beach which worked for me as i had an injury so walking on that instead of sand was great. The beach was clean, breezy and we were there late afternoon, so we didn't swim, just relaxed overlooking the ocean. Its a parking sticker beach which we had no idea, got there late like 4pm or so and the lot was empty so we just pulled it late day, Only there an hour but rather nice.
