I highly encourage you to see a show at the Mahaiwe. It feels like a trip back in time with its restored grandeur to its early days. I have seen live music and watched movies there. It’s a treat to do either. The acoustics are...More

The Mahaiwe is a lovely theater, and it seems as though all seats offer a great view of the stage. On my most recent visit there, I saw Chris Botti, along with the other performers he brought for the show. It was a wonderful performance,...More

My first visit to Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center for the Pat Metheny concert on August 2 was fantastic! I arrived early to pick up my “will call” ticket in anticipation of lines of “people congestion.” I breezed through the process and toured the facility. The...More

The preservation group has rescued and renovated this former movie theater. The Mahawie features virtually every type of live entertainment, drawing popular and current performers, and some retro movies. Prices are competitive with NYC/Boston theatres due to the profile of the performers. Many shows are...More

Walking into this historic theater was a treat in itself! So ornate and speaking of an era long past. But, with comfortable seats and an amazing line-up of performances, this theater is very up-to-date! We saw the Paul Taylor Dance Theater and were thrilled with...More

Every time I look at what is coming up at the Mahaiwe, there are performances that I want to see, from reggae, jazz, classical, singer-songwriter music to ballet, classic movies and more. I always feel at home at this theater.

I remember as a child going to Saturday movies in this lovely old theater which has wonderfully been restored to her original glory as a performance venue. Live HD performances of the Metropolitan Opera are such fun here. And every kind of entertainment from classical...More

The Mahaiwe has a great balance of programming--music, dance, theater, informative talks. It was such a privilege to see jazz pianist prodigy Joey Alexander in May, 2018. Felt I was witnessing something very special in such an intimate theater space. What a memorable and transcendant...More

The Mahaiwe scammed me. There was a lot of commotion and noise when I entered the lobby, which is uncomfortably tiny. I asked to purchase a ticket at the box office, and they only offered me a $50 ticket, the highest price. I think that...More

People come to the Berkshires for many things, culture and arts and seasonal natural experiences, and the Mahaiwe should be included as one of the loveliest theaters. Beautiful architecture and design offset a terrific Paul Taylor Dance Co. production. Worth the visit.
