This was so interesting to see the years and number of fishermen lost. Some years it was hundreds. It takes you back to those years and just imagine what life was like. Beautiful tribute to those who made the fishing village special.

This Memorial personalizes the loss of thousands of fishermen and the impact on their widows and children. Remarkable to see the names listed for certain years -- such as 1872-- where one or two storms took the lives of crews from multiple vessels.

We stop at this water view every year during vacation. It's definitely worth a stop. There are benches along the water if you want to sit or eat your lunch.

Really lovely spot to look at the water or watch the boats go by. The city of Gloucester has done a great job to make this waterfront area attractive and pedestrian friendly.

Along the side of the street. As you enter Glouster center, there is a parking lot but it is usually full, but along the street is parking with meters.
