Took my daughter and friends to visit the castle while visiting from Florida. Its $10 to get in to walk around and take photos. Souvenirs are pricey so be careful there. It was kinda cool to be in and the girls (all teens) enjoyed it.

My 2 children, in their 30's and I enjoyed seeing this fabulous place. It was the most interesting place that we have ever been too, not only beautiful but the objects and the building itself are so out of the ordinary. There are guided tours every half hour although there is no sign saying so and we were not informed... More

The castle comes complete with a drawbridge and a grave where mr Hammond is buried. This is a self guided tour and your free to take as many pictures as you wish. The great hall is pretty cool as is the indoor pool. It's worth spending a couple hours wandering around the castle and the grounds.

Travelling north on route 128 we unexpectedly came across a beautiful castle next to the ocean. We stayed for 3 hours so you know we were enjoying ourselves. A young lady gave the tour and she made us laugh about the eccentric inventor who built the castle for his wife. We were amazed at all the guests that had stayed... More

I recently visited the castle with my family and talk about a gem of a place. The castle itself is beautiful inside and out, perched right next to the ocean with a beautiful view as you step up to the entrance. I'm not normally a tour person but the tour was given by a delightful, adorable older gentleman who has... More

Hammond Castle is an amazing combination of historical period pieces; intriguing gothic symbols and decadent luxury. The castle itself is full of surprising items and many unexpected twists and turns throughout. But don't forget to experience the beauty of outside of the castle (look for gargoyles...they are everywhere!) as well. There are many stone archways with doorways to places unknown;... More

This is seriously a wonderful place to visit. There are so many historic aspects of this castle and the tour was fascinating. It costs $10 per person to get in but it's worth the cost.

The curator John was our expert guide - he has been at the castle for over 30 years and knew it inside and out. The museum artifacts, history of Hammond and his family, beauty of the castle, seaside location and grounds make this a wonderful North Shore attraction.

My wife and I attempted to visit the castle on Friday 5/28. When we got there we realized it was closed, but since we were only in the area for that day we decided to walk around and take some pictures. The ground were amazing. A local had said, they frequently have weddings there, I can see why. Next time... More
