My husband and I stopped in at the Ryan & Wood Distillery, while venturing on the North Shore. We were SO happy to have made the stop here. We arrived at 1 for the tour. The tour is very interesting and informative. It was facinating to us how the process takes place and how long it takes. The samples were... More

Ryan & Wood is an amazing spot to visit. We walked in, having missed the tour, and were given a quick "3 minute tour" which lasted about half an hour! The family that runs the distillery are super sweet and super accommodating. And the spirits are wonderful! The gin especially. Make this a stop during your trip- you won't regret... More

We stopped on a gray fall day for the 10am tour. We were the only ones there for the tour. Kathy and Bob gave us a wonderful tour and education! We learned a tremendous amount about the art of distilling. Their products are great too. Try the wheat rye, a nice departure from traditional rye!

My wife and I just stopped in at the distillery last week while traveling through rockport and we cannot say enough about the staff. The owner took the time to show us around, outside of the normal tour hours , without even hesitating. He welcomed us to the area and we spent the better part of an hour learning about... More

It was just two of us but it didn't seem to bother them. The tour was informative and I learned a lot. The tours are at 10:00 a.m. on Wed. But a family came in late so the owner let them join halfway through. They have awesome hospitality. I got to taste whatever I wanted and left with a couple... More

Looking for a fun, free activity that will raise your spirits? You'll find that and more on a tour of Ryan and Wood Distilleries. Co-owner and tour guide Kathy Ryan, warmly greets guests as they enter what appears to be an unassuming store front in a small industrial park. In the ensuing hour, guests are treated to an amazing array... More

I took several B&B guests to the Ryan & Wood Inc Distillery tour today and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Kathy (one of the family business owners) was extremely knowledgeable about everything having to do with their business and the alcoholic products they produce. This is a worthwhile experience that incorporates interesting regional aspects of Cape Ann into their product... More

Great to see such local businesses grow and prosper. Tour is really enjoyable, a nice mix of distilling process, business, and local uniqueness. Tasty products, particularly rye and gin, which I buy and recommend.

We stopped in after the daily tour was over. The owner still gave us a mini tour. She took the time to explain the history and the distilling process. She was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Free tasting afterwards. Would recommend.
