Cape Ann Whale Watch in Gloucester, Massachusetts provides guaranteed whale...

Cape Ann Whale Watch in Gloucester, Massachusetts provides guaranteed whale sightings for every whale watching tour out to Stellwagen Bank, a national marine preserve about 12 miles off the coast of Gloucester deemed one of the "Top 5 Whale Watching Destinations in the World" by the World Wildlife Fund due to the wide variety of whale species whom migrate to the coast of Gloucester, Massachusetts every year to feed on the abundant natural resources. We provide the best whale watching in New England as it's an awe-inspiring experience which every human being should have the opportunity to appreciate. We make it a very special event.

For over 35 years, Cape Ann Whale Watch has been dazzling whale watching enthusiasts with sightseeing tours aboard the largest, fastest and most elegant whale watching vessel in Massachusetts, north of Boston, Massachusetts aptly named "The Hurricane II" due to its immense size and speed as it descends upon its destination. Cape Ann Whale Watch's patrons have the opportunity to spend a lot more time with the whales than with other whale watching companies in Gloucester MA since "The Hurricane II" gets to the whales' feeding grounds with much more expediency as well as traveling home faster, therefore more time is actually spent observing whales including but not limited to Humpback Whales, Minke Whales, Northern Right Whales, Pilot Whales, Northern Right Whales, Sperm Whales, Sei Whales, Blue Whales (The Largest Whales in the Seven Seas yet seldom seen around Gloucester MA), Fin Whales, Atlantic White Sided Dolphins, Harbor Porpoises and whole host of other fascinating marine creatures as we deliver the best whale watching excursion in Massachusetts.

"The Hurricane II" boasts 115 ft length with over 400 ft of whale watching room from the railings of the upper and lower observation decks for optimum whale watching conditions. There is a heated, furnished indoor cabin with a full service galley serving hot meals, snacks and cold beverages as well as a fully stocked bar with local brews, popular beer, wine and mixed drinks. Cape Ann Whale Watch is truly the finest whale watching tour in the Boston MA area offering the highest level of quality, comfort and service at the cheapest, most affordable price suitable for any family entertainment budget whether on vacation or a day trip. We offer AAA discounts on the adult tickets. We also offer reduced rates for seniors, children and military families.

We go where the whales go. Our vessels communicate with each other as to the location of whales so we will go anywhere to see them on the North Shore or South Shore of Massachusetts including off the coast of Boston, Massachusetts: Salem MA, Newburyport, Cape Cod, Hampton NH, Rowley, Rockport MA, Danvers, Peabody, Swampscott, Revere, Winthrop or wherever else the whales may roam.

Been whale watching before and knew that what you see is up to the whims of the creatures, but what a treat we had on our tour to see nursing pairs of finback and humpback whales and multiple breaches by one of the babies. The naturalist's narration was fascinating and her excitement was contagious. We sat near the back when... More

Other than the ocean being very rough that day, I had a lot of fun. It was my first time whale watching and the crew was very informative. The drive through Gloucester was gorgeous. I'm coming back just to go sight seeing through the town. I recommend this trip to any family :)

We were very pleased with our recent Cape Ann Whale Watch excursion. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Knowledgeable crew members went around explaining the types of marine life we might encounter. Reasonably priced food and drinks were available on board as well. What stood out was their dedication to do whatever they could to make sure that whales... More

The whale watch was in the top 2 highlights of our vacation (the other being a Red Sox game!) Amazing experience to see humpback whales in their natural habitat. We only saw a few whales, but the ones we did see were beautiful. One humpback, in particular, dove and splashed her tail and flippers for us for several minutes over... More

What a great experience. While leaving the harbor different things were pointed out. A nice boat ride on a very nice day. When we got out to the site we saw several different whales. The crew knew what whales were there based on previous years. They had interns on the boat going to all passengers to explain why they were... More

We were staying in Boston and decided to Uber up to Gloucester and take this tour. Crew was down to earth, extremely knowledgeable, and made sure everyone had a good time. It was pretty foggy when we went out and the captain had to go out a little farther than normal but found some whales for us to watch so... More

I went on the whale watch with my husband, mom and 8 weeks old baby. We all had such a great time. We were lucky enough to see plenty of whales - what a spectacular sight!!! This was my first time visiting New England and I decided to go on a whale watch. I was so impressed by not only the vessel but especially the crew!! Captain Johnny was a magnet for the whales! I have been on more Cape Ann Whalewatch trips than I can even count. NEVER a disappointment . Today we were lucky enough to see a pod of 200-300 Northern. Atlantic white sided Dolphins.
